Hello friends over the seas! I 'm now looking for a proper mic to work with my current mics wich are one cmit5u and one gefell m310. I want make good sets of indoor mics and outdoor ones. So, I'm considering buying another gefell m310 to work for interior shots including car scenes, but my worry is to chose a mic for exterial shots. As I've said above that I have a cmit5u already, I may simply pick up another cmit5u but I'm not sure to get that one cause the price over 2000$. I mean that's too expensive and need more durable in any harsh conditions. My another consideration point is if I need two booms in a shot I need to match well with my cmit5u sound. So, I nee…

Greetings all, Does anyone have experience with a higher ohm headphone such as the Beyerdynamic DT770 250ohm headphone with the SD 788T? The specs show the headphone amp can drive headphones up to 1000 ohms, but curious if someone has field experience. Thx Mark L

Probably won't be my most expensive repair/replacement, but look at what -22 Celcius can do to your Plastic Petrol bag cover. After we rolled on an interview outide, I flipped the cover back over the mixer and it cracked instantly! Never happened before with other Petrol bags - I wonder if the vinyl's a different formulation on the newer ones? Rich

I've just picked up a 2nd hand Tascam HD-P2 as a backup and I can't find any specification for power input. I've asked the manufacturer but not heard back Anyone know if it needs a 12V regulator or if it'll be happy with a 14.4V NP1 attached?

I just bought two LMas, both in block 21. When I power them up, the good one flashes red then green, then blinks green 4 times (set to 400 mode) and works fine. The second LMa flashes red then green, then only blinks one and a half times and starts over. Fresh battery inserted. Compatibility mode, set to 400 mode again, still the same problem. Need them on a shoot tomorrow, maybe someone has a quick solution to this? Any input appreciated! edit: sometimes I can get it to work after powering on off and on for a couple of times, but most times it gets sort of stuck in the rebooting loop.

I have never quite felt the need to use waterproof transmitters (such as the Lectro MM400) until today. When the lead actress dropped her G3 Tx. In the toilet. (It's dead now)

I'm about to purchase a 788t w/ CL 8, but wondering if anyone had suggestions on what specific in/out cables to get and where I can get them at a decent price... I've looked through the usual suspect's sites, but just curious to know of anyone's suggestions.

We just got the formal written lab reports on the CE tests for the UCR411a receiver and the units passed all tests. Since this is a receiver and not a transmitter, we don't have to wait 30 days or so for approval from each country's regulatory body before taking orders. Best, Larry F Lectro

Hey, Does anyone know of a 48.048 AD interface? I looked at JoeCo, Motu, Apogee, etc. but can't seem to find one that'll do the needed sample rate. It's to go into a DEVA's digital inputs. Thanks, Tyler

since the Fusion got only a combined TC I/O on Lemo 5pinF I was wondering if there is a existing solution for this: Ambient ClockIt TC out --- Fusion TC in Fusion TC out --- IFB100 TC in Fusion TC out --- CamLockIt / EW100 TC in wondering if the TC signal will be effected when doing y-splitting and one leg is temp. open? Cheers, Matthias

I'm using a 788t outputting to a Lectro UM400a for the IFB send and then R1a receivers. I have tried both the line output from the #3 out on the 788 using a TA3 to TA5 cable. I also tried an 1/8" to TA5 cable using outputs 5/6. The mix sounds clean and clear on the 788 side of things but the IFB receivers sound like crap. They are extrmely muddy, murky, and almost unintellible. Any ideas why this is? Anything I can check out? www.matthewfreed.com Production Sound Mixing for TV, Films, and Commercials

I had to send a unit back to lectrosonics today to get looked at and was a bit surprised at the flat rate cost associated with it. Of course it is what it is and I'm shipping it back, but I wanted to ask for future reference are there any 3rd party repair shops out there any of you deal with that are worth mentioning? Guys you trust? Guys with decent rates? Of course if the costs are similar I'd rather just deal with lectro but thought it might be at least worth discussing.

Here's a link to the Audioroot cLINK 2.4Ghz camera hop: http://www.audioroot.fr/audioroot-wireless-audio-camera-link-product-42.html I'm not sure of the various attempts to use the 2.4Ghz as the frequencies for a camera hop because of all the 'other' types of kit trying to use these frequencies including the 2.4Ghz video senders that would be sitting a few inches away! Apart from that I think it looks fantastic! Wil

I read a few time ago here on the forum that powering the ifb unit with separate source prevents that eeeeee noise in receivers in the bag. Now, how do you guys manage it? Another NP-1 sled ? Looking at NP-F style batteries which are smaller (thus lighter) with a battsled from Lectro would fit the bill except these batts give 7.2 volts and the ifb unit needs 8 to 18 volts to work... Some use a 9v batt shoe by any chance ? Any suggestion welcomed, as a confirmation that doing so, I'll be able to raise the power output from my IFB100 without noise problems. (of course, I know about Txs and Rxs proximity issue in a bag)

Anyone done it, can I do it myself? I'm contemplating fitting SRUNI to my SR receivers to make it easier when I want to use them as a hop, and then use Bluecows adaptors when I use them in the bag. So before I take the bottom off one to have a look, can anyone tell me if it's a simple task?

hi, I have a job coming up with 14 wireless, I will be renting the wireless so I'm not 100% sure of the blocks yet, but in the interim I'm wondering the best way to plan out the frequencies for the wireless so I have a plan of attack during the set up . I need 2 usable freqs per unit. Advice or tips welcome. Thanks James

Hi there, I have a Micron transmitter (TX700B) with a 6 pin 'lemo' mic input. I would like to turn it into the wireless connection between my 416 mic and my bag and therefore need it to power the 416 with 48v. If anyone knows how i might go about building such a cable, any advise would be much appreciated. I know the cable can be bought but im feeling a little sick at the cost and anyway, it would be cool to build it myself. Many thanks in advance, Doug

Hi All, I need some help with the outputs on my 552 please I had a cable built to feed from the tape out on the 552 ( TA3M ) to a Comtek 1/8 mini stereo plug with a mono output. This cable works fine no problems with the tape out. Now I would like to feed a 2nd Comtek with a feed for a boom op. I was thinking of using a direct out. So I tried the TAM3 L and R outputs and a direct output with the same cable It only works when I insert the cable half way and then cuts out when the connector locks into the 552 Looking at the connector pin assignments I see the only difference in tape out and L and R outputs is pin 3= float ( no connect ) Is th…

Hello, I want to bought a multitrack unit for wildtrack recording with a Soundfield SPS200. I have three contenders: Nomad, SD 788T and AETA 4Minx. Looking the manuals, the AETA and the SD will work with Soundfield microphones, both have the possibility of link 4 channel gain and have monitor decode for Soundfield format. Can the Nomad do this? (I can't found the Nomad manual). Thanks!

Here are the circumstances: I have several Lectros in block 24 as well as camera hops in Block 26. I want to re-freq a Zaxcom TRX900 & RX900 set into a legal block. I could also upgrade the receiver to stereo at the same time if that'll be useful. As I'm considering my upgrade avenue, here are some useage possibilities: I may use this Zax wireless on the cart along with the Block 24 Lectros. I may use this Zax wireless in the bag along with Block 24 Lectros and Block 26 camera links. I may use this Zax wireless in the bag as a camera link along with the Block 24 lectros. My inclination is to re-freq the Zax to Block 22. Block 21 is usab…
