Hello everybody! For the last three four months, I've been looking for a model name for some wireless microphones used in 1980s Japanese music programs, but couldn't find any information about them. By any chance would there be anyone who recognizes any of these mics? I first thought the microphone in the first three pictures is neumann, but I realized that they're from 2000s.

Hi all, just wondering how the CL-9 is performing for people on the real world. i've yet to see an actual user review (apart from all the good information provided at the time of it's launch). Just wondering if people are using them to mix drama and how they are getting on with them, pro's and con's etc. i have a drama gig coming up and i'm building a small cart, i'm interested in the Cl-9 because i don't have a mixer suitable for the cart and the Cl9 is attractive because i already use a 788t and it's low power consumption is a bonus. opinions and views as always much appreciated, cheers, Hugh.

Hi , I am looking for opinion on a better antenna setup for my zax wireless system . I have a 4900 and 2 x rx900s and a soon to be added qrx100 . At present I have a pair of lectro shark fins and a pair of lectro dipoles . Mounted on a T bar . (I would attach a photo but I am writing from an iPad and it's that old flash 9 problem , damn Apple - sometimes) I started using a 4 way splitter from lectro to run the 4900 and 2 x rx900s off the shark fins but lost too much gain . I then went with the 4900 on the shark fins and the rx900s through a dual RF splitter which works ok but what about the qrx100?? When it comes along . Do I go with an active RF amp or will…

http://www.rodemic.com/accessories/invisilav This thing is Rode's answer to the RM11. I can't imagine why they decided that two slots were necessary. Why make the 99% of people who don't use dual mics carry around the extra material so that people who really do need dual mics don't need to carry around the xtra material of an extra mount? I am curious why folks in this thread seem to not like hiding mics under collars... I've found it a decent place because the triangular space allows a large isolation device like an rm11 or hushlav to be used. That said, recently I've been having better luck with taping mics between buttons. At any rate, I do think i…

I am putting together some new tools that i really want to pressure test to get an idea of overall performance... So the question for the group is how would you test RF performance-- not just range, but vulnerability to adjacent RF troublemakers. Walkies- Video TX.. other transmitters.. Tools i am working with .. DSQD- SRCs(A1), HM/SM TXs(A1+B1), PSC sixpack, Wisycom LFA-B-2 s, I'' grab some walkies, and a terradek too.. Wondering how you would simulate your RF reception nightmare-- fun:)! OR is it not really possible to do a reasonable test without putting it all together on a working set... ? thanks, j

Anyone use something like this? I am thinking about it for those nasty rainy days where you have to keep cleaning your xlr or camera cables... Or maybe even equipment(?!)

Schoeps CCM41_CCM8 MS > Sonosax M2D2 mounted to C300MKIII. I'd like the most discrete, focusable mounting and wind protection for the CCM MS rig on camera. 1) The Cinela http://www.cinela.fr/catalog.php?language=en&pid=23 seems like the smallest housing for the CCMs but appears more vertically oriented than I prefer on the camera. 2) Th Leonard http://www.cinela.fr/catalog.php?language=en&pid=87 seems more horizontally oriented but needs a weird extension for the CC41 (kinda defeating the purpose of the small size of the CCMs IMO) and seems questionable to me to have the mic housing in front of the capsule. But It does seem less ve…

I have recently purchased the DCHT/DCHR as a camera hop (digital TX and RX also new to me) Is it possible to get line level analogue out of the DCHR, when running AES into the DCHT ? Is it best to run these units on the most recent firmware ?

I just learned that the TRXLA3 (The single AA version of Zaxcoms "normal" transmitters) is discontinued. Am i the only one who for maybe no particular reason feels uncomfortable when thinking of switching or adding np50 batterys to the arsenal? I am thinking of getting an ZMT3 phantom though... #showerthoughts

Hi, I'm trying to ascertain if COS-11d mics (Ta5 connectors) will work with Tram 79 capsules. I spoke with a tech from Plus24 (the dealer that Sanken Japan directed me to) and his response was "yes...most probably." But they've never tested directly. I have several tram 50s I use, wired via the 79 capsule and wireless via lectrosonic tx. I am trying to move into COS11s and hope not to have to buy separate power capsules when I want to go wired. Thx in advance, Mike

I have a SD 633 and want to run a Micron Explorer receiver into the line in TA3 on channels 4,5,or 6. Can I just re-terminate the Micron output cable (RX AOCH-HR4......just signal, no power) to a TA3. I've noticed the Micron cable has a "ground Jumper"; a TA3 can't be wired the same. Any thoughts?

I am thinking about wiring my pole with 5pin xlr so I can drop in my css5 in a ws4 when I need a quick run in stereo. Is there a ta5 to 3pin xlr jumper that I can switch when using mkh416? Or should I rewire my MKH 416 to 5 pin? I rather use jumper cable since I am about to get an extra shotgun mic. I think the stereo wired boom will safe on accessories I carry. I can have only one boom for both stereo and mono. Thanks P.S. Not to mention the money I will safe by not having 2 connboxes and 2 WS sytems

Hi Guys, Has anyone experienced any issues with a CMIT into a Lectrosonics HM? I used a friends CMIT for a film a couple of years ago and loved it. I finally bought my own one but can't get it to play with my HM plug on. There is no level out of it until I set the TX to 55 (max) and then its terrible and unusable, with hiss and noise. It works fine cabled into my recorder. Is there some grounding issue here? My friends CMIT worked fine with the same transmitter. Any help would be appreciated. Trev

Hi All, This one's a long shot, but does anyone still have any technical info or diagrams for the Perfectone NT4101L mixer please? I picked one up recently for a refurb. project (without realising how hard the shematics would be to find!) It looks to have silicon transistors, about 30dB gain on each of the 4 input channels and (i'm guessing) another 10dB on the "summing" output channel. Other than needing of some t.l.c and a new power supply, it looks to be really well made. I certainly wouldn't want to drop one on my foot! :-) I've no idea how old it is though, i'm guessing 1970's? Any help or guidance would be much appreciated, All the best, Lee

I'm wanting to build a breakaway cable for my nomad to convert it from a backup recorder on my cart to a bag recorder in seconds. It would either connect to my Venue and Meon or the Np1s and my bag receivers. It would need to conduct DC and At least four analog audio channels. So at least 14 pins, DSub is an option but it's big and I don't trust the connection in the bag. Does anyone have ideas for a solid multipin connector for these fan-outs?

Does anyone know someone who knows how to use the Audio Ltd 2040 wireless mics? I have two and I am having some RF problems. I think it has to do with the receiving antennas. They right next to each other on the receivers. How can they work as diversity receivers if the antennas are so close together?

In anticipation of a ZMT phantom arriving in my grubby mits this week, I'm creating a relatively simple sleeve to protect the ZMT PH from the elements. I'm very much at the design stage, which means last night I woke up half a dozen times with what ifs and brilliant plans. Tac'd up a mock up today and the concept should work. Concept is a sleeve made from kite material (100% water proof), each opening sealed with velcro. Seam sealer on all stitching. Toying with putting a mesh pocket inside to hold a small desiccant bag and adding one or two elastic straps with toggles to tighten the whole sleeve up to avoid any rustling from the material in wind. I don't inten…

Hi folks, I'd like to find a proper bias tee to feed a Betso Shatkie, using a 100 feet coaxial cable (an Aircell 7). I've bought a Shure Uabiast but I just realize that for cable runs exceeding 25 feet an in line amplifier may be required to compensate for signal loss...damn! I hope there is a more powerful one on the market. Maybe the lectrosonics Bias T?Unfortunately on the specifications there is no mention of the maximum cable lenght. Any suggestion? Thanks.

Ok this one is bizarre... Are there any other cat owners who own a Rainman blimp cover? My cat has been obsessed with licking it, and it is the only material he does that with (I think there may be a charcoal/carbon component to it). I know cats are inherently weird, but he has some other medical issues and I'm trying to figure out if this is inherently problematic or symptomatic. Anyone else seen this, or moonlight as a vet 😊? Thanks!
