Canon announces firmware for the 5D MII that supports 24/25P: http://www.dpreview.com/news/1003/10030201canoneos5dmkiifirmware.asp The announcement was made in Europe however and the Canon USA website does not (at this time) have this press release up: http://www.usa.canon.com/opd/controller?act=OPDPressReleaseAct It seems worth a read, the release notes that in light of user feedback 30 FPS is now 29.97.

Has anyone had problems transferring audio files from the SD card or CF card? I had a bit of a problem playing back the final track recorded from my days work. I can play back the final track on my 633 but was unable to download onto an external hard drive. Info showed the bits, but no duration............

Hi All, My new 633 has crashed/prompted a power cycle - can't see this in the manual. All power is disconnected from the unit and it still displays the message. What to do? Only testing at home today so no stress! Thanks in advance Jerome

Hi guys, Dose anyone here had this problem before? I turned on my device and suddenly the power cut down, and since then I can't turn it on. I tried several ways; external power, internal power and still the mixer is not power up I sent an email to the company and I'm sure they will contact me once the weekend is over, but just for my curiosity I want to know if someone already met this problem. Have a great weekend, Nir

Well the MBU/IA contract was ratified by the Local 695 membership by a narrow margin. If just 13 people had voted the other way it would have been rejected. Don't know what the other locals votes were. Looks like I can kiss my health insurance goodbye in 2011. ----Courtney

To IA 695 members.... please submit your election ballot as soon as you can. Many of the nominated candidates are "white ballotted" (no opposing candidate) and you can see them listed on the 695 website as well as in the letter that accompanied the ballot, but you're vote still makes a big difference. You are stakeholders in this endeavor and coming out of Trusteeship, a high voter turnout sends an important message by showing that the membership is fully engaged in its future.

In case you have been procrastinating like the FCC and have 700MHz gear eligible for a trade-in rebate time is running out to cash in. Audio Technica and Electro-Voice trade-in programs have expired. Sennheiser - must purchase by December 1st and send 700MHz gear/proof of purchase UPC by December 15th. Shure - must purchase by December 31st and send 700MHz gear/proof of purchase UPC by January 31, 2010. The FCC, in their infinite wisdom, has yet to move on the proposed order and rule making to set a date certain for Part 74 devices to vacate 698-806MHz. Verizon, on the other hand, has been sending form letters to venues telling them they have interfered with s…

Hey all, Has anyone had a file show up on the .CSV report and not be on the drive. I've had this issue just today where I recorded the file, and wrote the csv at the end of the day. Now I see 2 of the exact same file names on my machine. I am missing take 2 of 2 of a file called X42BT2. I recorded it and the CSV tells me its' there but there is no actual file on my hard drive or CF card. Stranger thing to, is that the DIT had a warning error message saying that file X42BT2 was a duplicate and could not be copied. I have not contact SD and I will of course but wondering if anyone has had this issue and how they may have resolved it. Thanks so much B

Report: Kodak can exit Oscar venue Ceremony could be held in nameless venue By CHRISTY GROSZ Eastman Kodak has reportedly won the right in bankruptcy court to terminate its sponsorship agreement with the home of the Oscars, setting up the possibility that the venue will be nameless -- or under another sponsor's name -- by the time the Feb. 26 telecast comes around. According to The New York Times, the ruling did not specify whether the sign atop the venue would need to come down before the Oscars ceremony. The theatre's owner, CIM group, objected to Kodak's request and has expressed qualms about removing the signage. The naming rights agreement dates ba…
