Here we are on a VISA spot in Vacaville CA yesterday, Frances Nkara--my redoubtable boom op and me. Got to meet fellow JWSound poster Phil Talsky @ this location. Low key day after we retuned all the radios out of the way of Sacto TV and weird military RF. Philip Perkins

HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR ALL Everyone seems to love cart pictures. I know I do. Here’s mine: I built it in 2000, six months start to finish. My friends let me move into their machine shop for two months during the actor’s strike. It’s all aluminum, mostly ½ x 1 tubing, V cut, welded and ground, machine parts and powder coated. It’s on aircraft suspension.

I've always been hesitant to get into the still picture clusterama that celebrities sometimes endure. This one I could not resist... and someone thought my avatar wasn't a real Gator... so here, meet an uninvited guest star posing with yours truly on a Barbecue Cooking Show shoot... we didn't feed him and shortly he returned to his trailer in the swamps...

First image is Sine wave from wendtx2 internal tone generator... odd harmonic I will have to investigate. The Second is an open A on an electric guitar with none of the other strings muted. interesting that with a -120 scale I can see a noise floor that will have me investigate further with a scope... please allow 4 to 6 years for results ;-J Great Fun ! Thanks Take

Here's a picture of the filter system we built to further improve wireless range. Custom filter, then a very clean amp, then isolated distribution. It helps. -Eric

Andy Fischer who works with Cameron Crowe, vinyl films and vinyl records, is working on putting together a collection of the music from "Harold and Maude." He has gotten access to hundreds of stills taken on the movie and these are the only found record of my working on the movie --- pictured here with Colin Higgins and Steve Ferry (who was the prop master on the movie). We are working on the skeet-shooter bird feeder gag. As most of you know, I was working in the Art Department on that movie and it was that job that made the decision for me to start work in the film business. - JW

Here's a shot of my recently built and assembled Sound Cart. Not only is it a picture of my cart, but the quality of the photograph also shows why I'm not in the camera dept.

Since Jeff posted a photo of me and Emma Barham, who assisted Jeff on The Last Samurai, I though this photo would raise a few laughs. It was taked at the request of Gordon Moore (VP-Sales) to be used as a publicity photo for Lectrosonics. Virginia Hey (Zhaan) wore a DPA on her forehead, covered by the leading edge of her head scarf. This was taken just before her final appearance on the show. Cheers, David Glasser
