Uploaded by Great Big Story May 27, 2016 To call Lukas Novotny an expert horseback rider paints an incomplete picture. Novotny is one of the world's leading horseback archers. Yeah, you read that right: he shoots arrows on horseback. Now, Novotny is almost single-handedly keeping the tradition alive.

Nice fish-eye shot on the set of "Coming Home". No, that's not the crew sitting around smoking, drinking and gambling... actors in a scene when Sally (Jane Fonda) comes home to their house and Bob (Bruce Dern) has all his buddies over.

Vimeo: Uploaded by Tony Zhou Tuesday, February 23, 2016 Quote: "How do you film a conversation? Most likely, you’re going to block the actors, set up the camera, and do shot/reverse shot. But where do you put the camera? What lens do you use? And how do you cut back and forth? Today, I consider the Coen brothers - Joel & Ethan - and see how these choices lend a particular feel to their version of shot/reverse shot."

Ocean Gravity: Spectacular Footage of Freediver Guillaume Nery - Flying through Swift Ocean Currents North of Tahiti by Christopher Jobson on February 1, 2015 Quote: "Filmed late last year by director and underwater cameraman Julie Gautier - this amazing footage shows free diver Guillaume Néry as he’s carried by swift currents through Tiputa pass - part of the Rangiroa atoll about 355 km Northeast of Tahiti. When you hear about strong currents near the ocean or large lakes - it’s difficult to visualize exactly how they work, or the power they carry. This film should quickly pu…

Hi, I just watched a short documentary made in 1950 by Henri-georges Clouzot who was planning to shoot a documentary in Brazil. In this short he presents the project and film his team. We can briefly see some equipment from that era. You can watch it here: https://www.cinematheque.fr/henri/film/122297-brasil-henri-georges-clouzot-1950/ One shot really intrigued me. He presents his sound recordist who seems to be using an optical recorder that he has brought in his appartement. I have never seen these and would be curious to know more about it if anyone have some clues about what it could be:
