The SPDR is Lectrosonics’ response to customer demand for a small, lightweight dual channel recorder for use on virtual reality sound captures or as a backup recorder for bag systems in the field. The SPDR allows capture of the full stereo audio of an extreme sport participant, in-car scenes, plant mics, or in situations where a wireless system isn’t practical. When used in conjunction with a small mixer and the SRC receiver, the SPDR makes for a lightweight interview setup that provides full redundancy - all fitting into a small fanny pack. For compatibility with a wider range of memory cards while retaining high reliability, the SPDR features a deep write buffer. …

Hello fellow sound mixers, I am developing an Android app for coordinating RF transmitters (including frequency spectrum analysis and intermodulation calculations). The app is in beta state and I am looking for a few people to beta test it in real world with different configurations. Should you be interested, here are the requirements : -having an Android smartphone with at least Android 6 and OTG ability and being able to download apps from the Google Play store, -having and using several UHF links (mics, ifb, hop…), -being ready to test it and send me reports about the app (keeping in mind that it is a beta version so do not rely only on it…

I have been using these quick connect adapters on my sna antennas for about six months now. Highly recommend if you switch often between ENG and cart antenna setups. I’ve used them in mission critical jobs and it allowed flexibility to swap a bunch of antenna setups quickly. https://www.americanradiosupply.com/sma-male-female-quick-disconnect-push-on-coaxial-adapter-connectors/

Hi everyone! Back in March I posted about my app Hush, which uses machine learning on Apple Silicon to remove noise and reverb from spoken audio. A lot of folks asked me to make an AudioSuite plugin to speed up the workflow in Pro Tools — so I did. It’s called Hush Pro, and comes with a bunch of new features designed specifically for audio post-production. The plugin includes two separate modes — or sub-plugins — that use the same engine under the hood but support different workflows. Hush Mix lets you rebalance dialogue, noise, and reverb with a mixer-style UI, previewing the results in real time. Hush Split renders all three elements as separate …

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share an app I made that post-production folks might find useful. It’s called Hush, and it uses AI to automatically remove background noise and reverb from dialogue (and other spoken audio) — with minimal artifacts. I designed the model myself, and trained it on a large dataset of common noise types: ventilation, traffic, honking horns, barking dogs, chirping birds, etc. — as well as room reflections from a wide variety of indoor spaces. You can hear a quick demo over on the website. The model continues to evolve as I add more samples to the training data. I’m always open to suggestions, and happy to fine-tune it for spe…

I did a small passion project the last month. And you all might find it interesting even if you're not a karaoke lover like myself https://croonify.com You submit a song audio file and the lyrics to it and it'll remove the vocals and generate a karaoke lyric video Apparently, I overestimated how excited even karaoke lovers would be about it, so I'm keeping it free for a little bit while it takes hold in the zeitgeist. Feel free to check it out if you're curious

Hi to all, we now sell a compact filtered ampifier. It means first it filters then it amplifies, because you don't want to amplifiy what you don't need. There is 4 gain step, first one is no gain at all, signal is routed just in filter, then there are 6/9/12dB of gain selectable. It lets pass current and if there's no supply at all it will just filter so no dropout (this is the fail safe). Filter inside support 1W so it can be use at the output of an amplifier to reduce noise. Link to the webpage: https://www.bs-rf.com/en/product/fa-1-filtered-amplifier/ Feel free to contact us at contact@bs-rf.com for more information…

Well i got my first charger ready for testing. I changed up the looks this time since i want to be able to make the NP50 and BX1 versions with the same footprint and some of the components. (so i dont have to keep materials for 3 chargers on stock) needs some charge cycles and loading unloading tests it charges 8 batteries at once all at 400mAh so a 1000mAH batteries should be done in around 3 hours +-

I have my preferred dealers for location-audio equipment (usual suspects here). But for post equipment, I don't have established relationships with any local or online dealers. Sweetwater I've bought from in the past. But I'm hearing less-than-great things about recent after-sales support. So as I get ready to make a couple big-for-me purchases, I wonder if I should check out another dealer. Such at Vintage King. I know this is more of a Gearspace question, but I don't want hundreds of responses. So I ask here: Does anyone have any strong feelings pro or con about Sweetwater these days (ie- after a private-equity firm became major owner)? And same …

well I never thought I would be posting in this section of JWSound, but i had an idea almost 2 years ago and here is the result of months of tinkering, prototyping and field testing. May I present the Soundbag Dashboard Some of you may remember the pictures I posted in the "show me your bag" thread, of the one-off wireless bracket I designed for my own personal use. After posting it up I received quite a few emails asking if i had any others for sale or if I could make any others for people. Since the first one I made was done by hand and took quite a while to make, I decided to look in to improving the design and seeing if manufacturing might be feasible. And voi…

Hello, this is a post mostly for my European colleagues: Since we are allowed to buy anywhere within the UE, and Wisycom being an European brand, could you share experience (and prices) from your favourite Wisycom reseller? I am planning to buy MCR54 and MTP60 (if available!!), and it is my first buying from this brand although I have been renting and enjoying using their rx and tx for years. So I do not have a regular seller that I can trust (and would give me discount) for these product. Ciao a tutti
