On Saturday Feb 18 we will make available an RF suppression bracket for the TRX900AA and the STA150/STA042. This bracket attaches to the bottom of the TRX900AA and STA150. It will attenuate RF interference caused by the digital signals that the TRX900AA uses to run the STA150. The attenuation is 3dB to 8 dB. This bracket is free to all customers and will be distributed at the Zaxcom/Coffey Sound seminar Saturday Feb 18 starting at 9:00 am. Customers can receive the bracket after the seminar as well by contacting Zaxcom directly. Information on the seminar can be found at the following link. http://www.zaxcom.com/events-exhibitions

As this is my first post on this blog, I hope you can all bear with me! Energy One Electronics is a direct from manufacturer battery distributor from Phoenixville, Pa.. We currently offer two LiFePo4 battery packs that I think could be of use in the portable Sound Production markets. one is a 12v10Ah version (spec sheet attached), the other a 12v7.6Ah unit, specifically designed to meet demands for a unit for international travel without having to be listed as Class 9 Hazmat. Both units are IATA certified, and have BMS controllers built in. We also are developing an external power gauge designed specifically for this chemistry, as most current gauges wil…

I reviewed the Zaxcom Nomad for the next issue of Sound and Picture magazine. The magazine is printed and will arrive in the mailboxes of subscribers in just a few days, and the article will soon be available in the online version of Sound and Picture magazine. The staff of S&P was nice enough to let me post it on the Trew Audio website, and it is available now at this link: http://www.trewaudio.com/audioflow/2012/01/12/zaxcom’s-nomad-the-next-step-in-field-recording/ Glen Trew
