Hello, It looks like I am going to be in Jax from Mid October to Late November. Keeping a family member company while they are stationed there. Was thinking of bringing my Bag Kit and being available for work there. Could theoretically bring cart.. or be someone's utility. Experienced EPK/Splinter unit on union shows.. and of course I have done corporate and industrial. I am an IA member, and can check in with local for permission to work there. If anyone there wants me to cover a day here and there, I am not relocating permanently, and won't keep your clients. Drop me a PM if you'd like to discuss.

I just graduated from the film program (emphasis in sound) at Cal State Northridge. I am available to work as sound utility or boom. Availability is completely open. Will work for food/credit. I don't have much experience besides mixing on student films, but I have made a couple of trips out to Glee to learn what I can from Phil Palmer. -Marisa

Hi Gang, I've been reading this forum for a long while now trying to learn as much as I can. Thank you everyone for the experience and insight that you have shared. It has been invaluable in supplementing my education. I graduated from Temple University's Film program in May, and have just recently made the move from Philadelphia to NYC. Having been decided on sound from the start, I worked as a Boom Op and Sound Recordist throughout the past 5 years on student and independent films, and more recently interviews for online news and corporate projects. Now I wish to continue on the path, and am available as a sound utility, or as an intern. I can provide references fr…

Hey, My close friend is producing a short series of videos for linked-in, he will be traveling to the bay area soon, and I thought I would recommend him some people to reach out to. It will be mostly interview/b-roll/walk n talk kind of stuff, from what I understand. He will be shooting on a 7D or two, so a TC recorder and slate will be needed. PM me your info and I'll pass it on (gear and exp would also be helpful unless you are a regular enough poster that I'll know who you are) Best, Wyatt

*******THE GIG IS FINISHED******* I did a low budget gig for a group called The Porchlight Sessions last fall in L.A. and they are doing another shoot in the Bay area early next week I believe. Low budget but it was a very short and fun gig. I was there a total of 4 hours. Recording a 4 piece bluegrass group with a few cameras, typically DSLR. Contact Anna at anna@porchlightsessions.com When I did the gig I definitely went overboard on what I provided but, like I said, it was a lot of fun and the people are great. PM me if you would like more info in what I did for the gig. I don't know the rate or shooting detail but Anna can provide those for you. …

I'm looking for a boomer and female utility for a low budget Tier 1 IATSE movie starting Oct 22nd for five weeks in Los Angeles. A list cast. The low rate notwithstanding there are some box rental bumps to sweeten the deal. Please send me details, info and resume to mickfowlerproductions@gmail.com. And just to quell the rumors, I'm not retired!

consider donating a few hours booming for my friend who is mixing a 35mm short film for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Pro crew and some stars are on board. He's a great guy and has a Utility person, but boom op's daughter is in hospital and he had to back out. I am mixing it Fri., Sat., and Sun. and have the same dilemma for Friday, as this boom op was scheduled to work with me also. I am good for Sat. and Sunday crew-wise. Nice, upbeat story and the making of the film grants 4 kids' wishes, so that's cool. If interested contact me by whatever method you prefer...e-mail, call, text, PM here (I will check first thing in the morning) thanks, Paul click name at left for em…

Hello All, I'm starting a feature in LA on Monday. My boom op had to fly home for family emergency and she's going to miss the first day of production. The rate is $175. Shooting in Long Beach at a stage. I hate to show up here with a low paying gig, but perhaps this would be a good opportunity for somebody new-ish. Students or recent grads welcome. I'm always interested in meeting new folks, so if you've got the day free and you'd like to help a brother out - drop me a line. stephennelson384 at gmail.com This is me: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2052965/ Thanks!

Looking for an experienced boom op for most likely one day of filming in a house. Doc style filming in a living room of a birth. Must have good sense of frame line as camera will be moving. Date in between Dec 1-10 email sound with seth at gmail directly please. Working out if they can afford rate to block out dates for one person, or if we get a few names and see who is available when the labor starts.

Hello. I am based out of LA/OC and I am available for boom op / utility or even "as needed" for production. I am Covid-Negative and quite frankly I am bored. I have some IMDb credits and looking to pad those with a few more projects. Let's talk!

Hello everyone! I'm nearing the end of my first year in the industry and I'm looking for jobs to do and people to meet! I'm available for boom op and utility work in France (and more than willing to travel if you'll have me), and have a place to stay in Lyon, Paris and Clermont-Ferrand. I've done 3 internships as a sound utility so far on large sets, and do a fair amount of volunteer work with my own gear, and have also done an internship at a sound gear rental. I'm bilingual in french and english as well! Feel free to contact me, even if just to chat! It's been a week since I've left my last set, and I'm already itching for…

I'm a Boom Op new to Los Angeles and need opportunities to meet new mixers and work with new people. I am just about to join the union out here and things have been slow lately because I haven't met many mixers. Let me know if you are in need of a boom or an A2.
