I did Richard, just two leads comming of the female + and - . I would like to use ext power but not a wall wart. Phil "KJR"
  2. I was just given an old Cetec Vega wireless system from a retired mixer friend. Dispite it's age and the fact it has not done battle in a very long time, it still works fine and is in good shape. I gave it a quick test yesterday and was happy with what I heard. I looked on the net for a manual or schematics but no joy. What I would like to know is , is the ACC connector on the front "Tushel or Preh ? What is the imput voltage via this connector the the receiver will run at ?( voltage from the int batt is 18v) Does anyone have a connector in the junk pile they would donate ? Does anyone have a manual / schematics to donate ? I pay postage ! Fun to get this old girl working again for some of my own dslr videos. Thank-You in advance ! Phil "KJR"

  14. Thanks Bob,over the top cool. Phil "KJR"
  15. Some behind the scenes shots, almost 5min: worth. The slate at the top says "Red Epic" but after that all I see are good old fashion film cameras, and booms doing their thing. Phil "KJR"
  16. Hi Pierre, Glad to hear you enjoyed this video and it brought back some memories from days past for you. When the arm rotates slightly in the tube it is called "clocking" left or right A little rotation of the arm by hand will bring it back but if it is an ongoing problem the arm has to come of and the rollers adjusted or replaced There was an old Mole here in Vancouver that someone was trying to sell and kept asking me if I wanted to buy it which I didn't. It was in bad shape and ended up going to the metal recycling plant, a sad ending but what are you going to do. Carrier is called "weight carriage assembly" . Strings are called "Cords" Phil"KJR"
  17. I know, sounds like their in a tire shop. Phil "KJR"
  18. Mirror, May suggest you call Chris or Cary at Fisher 818-846-8366 or email info@jlfisher.com and run the idea of using a Fisher Boom in the rain or under a rain tower. Phil "KJR"

  20. WOW WOW WOW ! Let's apply the parking brake right here. Under no circumstances should a Fisher Boom ever be exposed to rain. The moisture will affect the pulleys, bearings and talc used on the cords and create noise and corrosion, the duvetyne will get wet and corrode the exterior of the tube causing more damage The arm would have to go back to Fisher for a major rebuild with every bearing (and there is a lot of them) replaced with new ones, every pulley would have to be cleaned and repolished The cost for new parts and labor would be huge and charged to the production company. "Mirror" I'm having a hard time buying your story "Anytime there was a rain shot I use to order up a Fisher with the big base" Well guess what, They don't come as a one piece and ready to go,2 or more hours is needed to put a fisher together and balanced properly. which means you and someone else (as it takes at least two people) to put a Fisher together. The PM is going to bring you and some else in on a two hour pre call plus an hour or more after wrap to disassemble the rig just so you can keep your ass out of the rain, all this for a guide track. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN ! Phil "KJR"
  21. Found this video while searching youtube. Some members here have commented on working on Mole Richardson Booms back in the day. I for one have not and with any luck never will ! But the video is still interesting. Phil "KJR"
