My block 19 & 21s worked well in Dubai. I had issues with my block 25, but that was because I was working on a sporting event and it was competing with another TV crews. And I would agree with 'staudio'. People can be very sensitive about being filmed, most especially women and children; even pointing your boom at them. People can get aggressive towards you pretty quickly.

I wouldn't call this a complaint, but more of a wish for the 664: - Wish it would hold timecode for longer when it's turned off. Can this be possibly done with a firmware update?

The DIT has always taken my files at the end the day to download and to backup. But regardless, I always keep a back-up of my own. Not to use for later, but as safety and reference. I have had production companies call me up in panic because they cannot find certain audio files. This mostly happens because of mis-labeling. I would send them a file name for them to search, or just upload the files for them to download again. Problem solved. Accidents happen and files do get lost. I always want to be able to offer those files to the production company again when that occurs. These audio files don't eat up my hard drive space so I don't mind keeping a backup archive.

Hello All, I'm likely doing a shoot where temperatures will drop beyond -40F. I have a Sound Devices 644 and Lectro 411/SM. I have worked in conditions of -30F but not colder. Has anyone been in this situation before? Did you have any issues? Did you use hand warmers or anything else to keep your gear warm? Thanks for any advice, Pablo

These are great mic-in techniques. How would you guys deal with higher wind situations? Would you recommend the Rycote Overcovers, or is there a better option?
