  1. Zaxcom will mirror as a WAV file - In all the years of using Zaxcom recorder (Nomad, Maxx and Nova) I had never had any issues with the mirror files.
  2. You would just need to have the proper adaptor cable that will supply power to two microphones and it will work.
  3. First day in the field with this guy - loving it so far.
  4. Did the recording start before the transmitter locked time code?
  5. A few years ago a company here gave out leatherman with their logo on it. I still have it in my kit.
  6. It continuously mirrors in real time.
  7. How long is your cable run - and what antennas are you using? For bag work where I am using dipoles and the cable length is fairly short I personally like something like an RG-174 (or something similar) and terminate on one side to a BNC and the other to an SMA. For longer runs you may want a beefier coax which would be hard to terminate to a SMA so in which case you would need to terminate to BNC and adapt it to SMA. As a general rule the shorter the cable run and the less adapters = less loss. Also make sure you use 50 ohm coax and connectors.
  8. You can use any antenna. How many receivers are you using - because nova already has a built in micplexer.
  9. Oasis support is not currently in Nova - but it isnt that far away. The next major feature that will be added will be MP3 support. Then the oasis support should come not to long after that.
  10. I use the JB1 for all the reasons mention above. For me not having a display is a deal breaker.
  11. Ambient would be able to check look at the unit and preform some service - if its anything major they would most likely send it to Zaxcom. The other thing is if it needs parts they may need to wait for them to arrive from Zaxcom.
  12. Is your software updated? If not I would update it. Then I would reset the Maxx to factory default and rebuild the setting (not from the card). I would then put in a new record card - chances are that wouldn't really have too much of an effect - but you want to examine all options. If the above doesn't solve the problem - then you have a hardware issue and the unit will need to be sent to Zaxcom for service.
  13. There are some very new and very special features coming for the receivers in the Nova - unfortunately I'm not at liberty to discuss what it is at the moment - but I beleive you will be quite pleased.
  14. If you already are using ZaxNet from nomad there is no reason to use the QRX235 with QIFB. Stick with wideband QRX200.
  15. There are several other ways to add ZaxNet to non Zaxcom recorders. The IFB200 is a standalone zaxnet transmitter that can do everything a Zaxcom recorder can do with regards to ZaxNet - plus you get a two channel back up recorder built it. Or you can use a camera link - the CL also can give you full function remote control, back up recording as well as feeding audio and time code to the RX200 and the new URX. Or even QRX235 will have the ability to transmit remote control right from the receiver. So there is no reason why you can't have full function Zaxnet remote control by using another mixer.
  16. The internal battery is replacable - i dont have mine infront of me but can you unscrew the back and and pull the battery?
  17. Did you try to plug in power?
  18. The URX is a UHF receiver. It will receive signal from ANY zaxcom transmitter ever built. It will not receive a Zaxnet 2.4ghz signal. If you want to receive audio via Zaxnet you will still need to use an ERX.
