  1. Phil, There are also the Kamesan Mixer and the upcoming FM4 Fostex mixer all come with AES out, makes one believe they all look like the Sony. Same same but........different. lol Alan Chong
  2. Hi Darren, I do know 01V and my O1X can do that on every channel strip, but according to the block diagram of the LS9, there seems to be a dedicated path for talk back in this design but it still takes up 1 channel strip. Cheers Alan
  3. Hi All, While I'm writing on the O1X, I think the new Yamaha LS9-16 digital mixer will the coming cart mixer replacement for O1V96. Finally a channel strip thats able to configure as a talkback and routed to several output and matrix. http://www.yamahaproaudio.com/products/mixers/ls9/index.html Alan Chong
  4. Simon, I'm using the Yamaha O1X, smaller foot print then the O1V96 with lesser bells and whistles. Meaning 60mm fader and no expansion card options. http://www.yamahasynth.com/products/01x/index.html 1) DC power 16V, I'm using the Remote Audio Juicer 15V 30W attached to it. 2) Sweepable HPF and LPF with 2 mid sweep EQ with Q control on every channel with attenuator. 3) Dynamics on every channel including on the bus out. 4) 4 Auxes, switchable Pre Or Post Fader. 5) Spdif in and out. 6) Small LED display compare to the O1V LCD. 7) Direct out switchable Pre or Post Fader or EQ. With the I88X Mlan expansion I/O (DC 16V) thru the O1X firewire out, you will be able to configure a stripe of 8 direct out with 2 additional DM2000 mic pres. Fully compatable with Metacorder with transport control. Ok downside. 1) No communication functions, I'm using a external slate mic system for boom private line, slate and director's private line. Routed back into one of the free channel of O1X. 2) 2 XLR mic/line w 48V, with balance 1/4" mic/line TRS on the rest of the input. Not the best of mic pres but I'm using SD as an external mic pres. 3) Unbalance Aux out and Monitor Out. Its ok for me, I'm using it as a com line and monitor out to the video village or IFB. 4) No Headphone Matrix, but I patch the recorder HP output (PD6 and PDR1000TC) to the SD HX3 for monitoring. Hope these info helps. Alan Chong
  5. John, Thanks for your reply, I'm the owner, I was trying to drain out my new NP1 Li-on battery and also thinking bout reformatting the whole HD again. These process actually helps me kill 2 birds. Fostex has always been good in helping out but I just wanna stress myself out and figure it on my own (to also serve as a self punishment for forgetting the hot keys) Alan
  6. Hey Vin, Hows everything ?? Sorry but i don't go into that mode often, but its good to re-initalize the HD once a while. BTW, hows the teaching job that u were offered? Alan
  7. Sorry All, Its ok i know it now, Stop. Play. Setup. Alan Chong
