  1. It will be soon I expect. Unless a US-based manufacturer decides to block the release. Regarding manuals, I've used Audio, Ltd. rf equipment since 1987 and it's pretty hard to imagine anything being more intuitive. Best regards, Jim
  2. Will be soon. Ty is in Baltimore, America. So Audio, Ltd. would have nearly no interest in providing him a review unit if a release wasn't planned. Are they available in Greece now? Best regards, Jim
  3. The shows, some from London but mostly from the Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC, that made up the album were absolutely awesome. The Lisner, on the campus of the George Washington University, is a great music and dance venue and in the late 1970's we had some superb acts play the hall. One of the nights of the Waiting For Columbus dates the Meters with the Tower of Power horns opened, Allen Toussaint opened another with the Tower of Power horns and the third night Catfish Hodge (who later was part of Chicken Legs, one of the Feat offshoots) opened. Thanks for posting, Jim.
  4. Heard this tune in a store today, albeit the 101 Strings Musak version. So I had to purge that memory.
  5. Eric Toline is pretty handy that way and also runs the Ft. Lauderdale FL branch of Professional Sound Services, which is about 40 minutes by car from the Miami airport. But it's a haul from Key West, maybe 200 miles by car. In the Keys that ends up being a 4 hour drive.
  6. If taking your return from a video camera, check the audio settings on the camera. Many cameras have a mono headphone output menu setting and on several I've run across, that's the default setting. Also be sure you're on the latest firmware and maybe after saving a copy of your setup file and sending it to support@sounddevices.com with a detailed description of your problem, try reloading the firmware. Best regards, Snowed -in Jim
  7. So they're looking for a craft services person who can also cater 3 meals a day and doesn't mind being busted for serving alcohol without a license or to minors. Where do I sign up?
  8. Yes, correct. The file start at the same time, the ID3 tag in the MP3 will have the same timecode and file names (save the file type suffix) as the WAV files and the WAV files will create a report just fine. Best regards, Jim
  9. Perhaps the most fitting tribute to David Bowie, recorded aboard the International Space Station by Canadian astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield some time before Bowie's untimely passing. He's a pretty good musician whose heart was in the right place and it's a pretty nice recording so turn it up.
  10. Laurens Hammond, inventor of the Hammond organ, was born 121 years ago today. What a lovely machine.
  11. Nate, They are available on Amazon, if that helps. Search for Voorpret Portable 10400mAh Power Bank Multi-Angle Stand USB Charger External Battery Pack Battery Charger or Safrone 10400mAh Portable Power Bank Rechargeable External Battery Pack with Multi-Angle Stand Charger. Best regards, Jim
  12. Faces have been on my radio today in honor of Rod Stewart's 71st birthday. The band epitomized the excess of early '70s rock 'n' roll, often setting up a full bar tended by their road manager right on stage, behind the drum riser . Stewart on vocals, Ronnie Wood on guitar, the late Ronnie Lane on bass, the late Ian McLagan on piano and Kenny Jones on drums. Note the very 1972 video effects. Stewart, Wood and Jones are all still with us. Ronnie Lane succumbed to MS in 1997 at age 51, after 21 years suffering with the disease. Ian McLagan died unexpectedly in December 2014 on the literal eve of a tour with Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets at age 69 after having a stroke.
  13. Happy birthday to the King of Rock 'n' Roll.
  14. That looks a whole lot like a Sennheiser ME66.
  15. An excellent cover of Irving Berlin's song from White Christmas
  16. TV history: 28 years of the best in music production on television, start to finish.
  17. Dennis lives in Baltimore, MD. Here's a nice article in the Baltimore Sun, published shortly after he won an Emmy for Behind the Candelabra, another show he did with Soderbergh as well an article in the Local 695 magazine about the same show. http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/baltimore-county/catonsville/ph-ca-dennis-towns-1002-20130930-story.html http://www.local695.com/Quarterly/5-3/5-3-behind-the-candelabra/
  18. My Cooper 104 and 106+1 are the best sounding mixers I've owned and are upgradeable, repairable and durable. Best regards, Jim
  19. Keef is on my radio today in honor of his 72nd birthday. A sentence I never ever thought I'd type, BTW.
  20. Hey, Chris. The serial number will tell you when the unit was made but might not indicate when you purchased it. If it's a question of length of the warranty Sennheiser's is 2 years so anything you bought in the last year or so is covered. Hope you are having fun in Bimini and hopefully I'll see you in January. Best regards, Jim
  21. "Alcohol may be man's worst enemy, but the bible says love your enemy." - Frank Sinatra "You could almost feel the excitement coming up out of the crowds when the kid stood up to sing. Remember, he was no matinee idol. He was just a skinny kid with big ears. I used the stand there so amazed I'd almost forget to take my own solos" - Tommy Dorsey
  22. Jay, I've built them on perf board as well but then build them into the Switchcraft S3FM XLR male to female barrel. Neutrik also makes 'em, the NA3FM or the NA housing used with Neutrik D connectors for bigger circuits. Best regards, Jim
