  1. Hi Tom, We are currently running transmitter sleep mode tests on various battery types so we can give actual sleep times in our literature rather than 5:1 or 4:1 ratios. In trying to finish up with NiMh batteries, we are having to reform them to make them perfect before doing the tests and this is taking longer than we thought. Anyway, the SR, SM battery monitoring tests are next up. Best, Larry F Lectro

  3. You can also use the internal resistor on pin 5 for the source load on the standard COS-11 if you are willing to wire for servo only, i.e., the Lectro transmitters built for the last ~5 years or so. This is another way of eliminating the outboard resistor. See Fig.11 here: http://www.lectrosonics.com/component/option,com_fss/Itemid,81/catid,4/kbartid,10/view,kb/ Best, Larry F Lectro
  4. I will have this double checked Monday. The readout should track better than that on lithiums. Larry F Lectro
  5. We are shipping new units with new boards. Just makes sense for everyone involved. Older stock units already in UK should be fitted with the new boards by each dealer. They will then be identical to the newer units. We are reimbursing dealers for the ~15 minutes it takes to change the boards out so they have no reason not to fix the units. Plus they are concerned for the customer or we wouldn't deal with them. Best Regards, Larry F
  6. So this is why our bundled 8 at a time sales of UCR411's have fallen off for the 25 and under demographic. Cheers, Larry F

  8. As long as the reviewer is open as to where they are coming from (dealer, manufacturer, anarchist) I don't think the "smarter than the average bear" readers of this site have a problem doing the appropriate interpretation. Best, Larry F Lectro
  9. Or go back to haggle with someone that has given them a higher quote. Larry F
  10. One pixel is roughly a 50% reduction in range. Three pixels will reduce the range another 50%. These are all rough numbers. Ymmv. Best Larry F
  11. Receiver sensitivity means very little in the presence of noise. The external noise dominates the receiver noise and and all receivers work poorly. The solution is to remove the noise. The receiver is not the problem and is not the solution. Best Larry Fisher Lectrosonics
  12. Each antenna goes to an amplifier and then to a two way splitter. Each receiver has access to both antennas in either antenna diversity or receiver diversity. Best Larry f
  13. Both. Two channel operation is antenna diversity; single channel is receiver diversity. Best, Larry F Lectro
  14. Both antennas are always combined into one signal giving a theoretical 3 dB increase in antenna signal. If the two antenna signals start to cancel each other out because they are equal level and opposite phase, the receiver detects this and switches the phase of one antenna 180 degrees so they now combine again. You are never selecting one antenna or the other. You are always using both antennas with one of them having switchable phase. Best, Larry F Lectro
  15. You caught that one and win the Grand Prize: your choice of T-shirt. Best, Larry F Lectro
  16. Glen's tests are very valuable here and can help the group evaluate these antennas. The tests, at the moment, are only for systems running in the antenna diversity mode. No real conclusions, pro or con, can be reached for receiver diversity. I would propose that the test be done with the Venue in receiver diversity mode as this would be a perfect apple (antenna diversity) to apples (dual receiver) comparison with the same basic receiver. As is usually the case, this kind of practical testing takes a lot of time and it never seems to end, as you think of other ways configure the test. Again, thanks to Glen for his curiosity and work. Best, Larry F Lectro
  17. You could use this, http://www.lectrosonics.com/17-ACOAXTX-Specify-Block/View-details.html on the outside of the suit with the final section pointing up in the air, above a shoulder perhaps. It is fairly small in diameter and black so it would not show up too much. It would have to be sealed where it exits the pouch. Best Regards, Larry Fisher Lectrosonics
  18. Two months. If the creek don't rise. Larry F
  19. I just checked with Gordon and we have not received any requests (yet) from the Irish dealer. If you wish to deal through them, we will certainly work with them to get your units upgraded. The boards to England did go out Friday afternoon, the 10th, and should be through UK customs by now. Best, Larry F Lectro
  20. It is possible that switching blocks will make a change and it is true that the transmitters will be unaffected by low level leakage. I don't know how to advise you other than to try it. Best, Larry F Lectro
  21. Attached is a PDF of the Satay quote. Price is same as last year at $20+ 18% gratuity + 8.1% sales tax = $25.22 per body. We will have Satay collect $25.25 ($26?) at the door, run credit cards and hand out armbands. I'm not sure what we charged last year. I assume about the same. There is no slack in the quoted price for freebies so if you want to be nice to a VIP or birthday boy, make some kind of arrangements such as a fund or personal donation. We don't want the RAMPS clean up crew stuck with a late bill. Note this is a cash bar again like last year. Also note there are two vegie dishes.Suggestions very welcome, as long as they are physically possible. Best Regards, Larry Fisher Lectrosonics Satay April 17th $20 Proposal.pdf
  22. Too funny. I give up and officially hand you the ears and the tail. Best, Larry F Lectro
