Hi everyone, Today I tried to put an old UCR 401 to use again after a while and faced the following issue. The pilot tone indicator keeps blinkIng and the CHECK FREQ appears as well even though the RF level indicator is full. No audio. I've tried this with a smqv and a lma transmitter. I've doubled checked the frequency, tried different ones, but still nothing. Compatibility mode is at 400 which should be fine for both transmitters. Am I doing something wrong or is the unity really defective ?

Hi. I've just bought EBL's 9v batteries and charger that were recommended here a while ago. The charger only comes with an USB cable. Would it be ok to use a cellphone charger with it to plug it in an ordinary socket? Best, Rodrigo

Just got my hands on a mix pre 6 today in order to try it. What I didn't get at all is the metadata fields. Why does it have a number field instead of scene and take. How do you deal with it if you're doing fiction work?

I'm getting this weird noise in one of my g3 receivers. The noise is only there when the receiver is off. If I turn it on, it disapears and the unit is working fine. But I still would like to know: what is this...?? 0327021.WAV

Thank you for sharing. I'm in a very humid place, so the smaller moisture absorbing packets get moisty/pink really quick. I would have to send them to the oven everyday in order to reuse them. A dehumidifier for the room is too expensive. I'm getting something in between for the closet where I keep the equipment, something like the eva-dry portable dehumidifier.

There are only some segments that will be done this way. Mostly we will be working with a sony fs 7. The idea of an external video recorder like a pix is a very good one that I'll shall pass to production. I don't expect long takes, Phill, but I still know very little. I'll warn them about all the fudging required in post if they wanna go that way.

I assume that vhs cameras don't have any crystal system for keeping sync, right? Supposing we do short segments of dialog only, do you have any idea if we could get away with it or single-system is the only way to go (not a very good one also, and this supposing I could send some audio to the camera, which I don't know yet)?

Hi, I would like to know how you guys store your equipment. What kind of measures do you take to preserve it against problems like humidity for instance, specially humidity, really. Besides a climatized room, are there any low cost solutions?

How do you deal with this sma connector, really? I can't be the only one having trouble with it. Many times what happens is that the antenna gets loose or the screw on the connector gets loose. It's really annoying and it already cost me one antenna that simply fell down wihtout me noticing. BNC would be bulkier, uglier, but so much more reliable.

Hi, I'm getting this bizarre noise on m Nomad's 4th input when the phantom power is on, with or withou a mic plugged in. If I turn off phantom powerm this noise goes off but I still have considerable hiss compared to the other inputs. Anyone? I'm kind of desesperate and far far away from the mothership... z010001.WAV
