soundchris started following Good ORTF (and perhaps NOS) mount/bar? , HI-Q 98 kw don’t want to asleep. Opinions? , ARRI Alexa Mini LF - 6-pin audio cable problem? and 6 others

Hello Oliver, I had the same problem and solved it by connecting and disconnecting to the charger multiple times (around 10?). The battery came back to life and I could charge it normally. (1-bay Audioroot portable charger)

ARRI Alexa Mini LF - 6-pin audio cable problem?

Hi Michael, I have worked with mkh50 and -40 wirelessly for a long time and the microfones never had a problem. To use EMC-Connectors is a good idea, because the connector extends the rf-safe housing of the mic over the open (not shielded) wires. The gap ind the shield between the mic and the connector is the culprit in most cases because it is not symmetrically wired. (see pic). cheers Christian

Hiding a lav mic on a child with tight clothes
soundchris replied to Blaalyd's topic in General Discussion
Most kid´s clothes like jeans or jeans jackets are usually stiffer than grown up ones, because the manufacturers don´t reduce the thickness of the fabric, when they make them. So kids produce more rustling noises than the big ones. Thats why my first choice would be a boom. But because most of them are amateurs and you can´t rely on them, I always wire kids. -

The mics are called "Haun" if you look at the "Thomann" Website. https://www.thomann.de/de/haun_mbc_440_stereo.htm -
Has anyone had experience with Sony ECM-90bc's?
soundchris replied to daniel Brooks's topic in Equipment
They look exactly like the ECM-88: https://pro.sony/en_SG/products/lavalier-and-headset-microphones/ecm-88bpt I own a few of those for almost 10 years and like the sound and the ruggedness. They are smaller and shorter than Cos-11. Downside: sound goes in through small slits on the side left & right. If you put them on a sticky, you have to be very careful not to block the openings. some mounting techs dont work because of the openings on the side. https://cvp.com/product/used_sony_ecm-88bc -
My new video link: two 2.4ghz wifi transmitters attached to the "video combo". Sdi to hdmi converter on the backside, all four devices powered by usb from either "anton bauer" on the combo or from a powerbank.

I bought a pair of Beyer DT240 as replacement for HD-25/director/AD etc. and I am really surprised, how good they sound. I will def. buy more pairs in the future because they survived life on set in 2019 without a problem and are really affordable. Cheers Christian
