  1. Yes Mike, I was thinking that price range is fair. Jim
  2. Maximum bass, You,re right about the 2 years, but I have stuff I just don't use Anymore and need to divest of. EU won’t accept equipment that is not CE approved (no lead) I think. 5 waterproof transmitters and receivers in Block 24 available for people who might have a use for them. Looking for offers. 3. Is there a market somewhere in the world where the 600MHz band will still be open for wireless mics? I have several MM400a and B transmitters in that range which can not be re blocked, as well as one UCR411. Best Jim Rillie

  5. Hi Jon, So true. What Time Code rate did you finally go with on set? JR
  6. I think that trying to correct timing with a moving boom and moving actors is best left to post, because the timing relationship of the boom and personal mics is always changing anyways. my 2 cents
  7. Amazon.com in the US lists it - Try Remove Universal Adhesive Remover Wipes. I just get its at a Lawton's Drug store with a homeware section here in Halifax, NS Not Homeware, but home care. oops
  8. Yup, That's what Remove is. It is available in Drug stores that have a home care section. Jim
  9. ALE , PDF and CSV have all been offered as options on Cantar sound reports since the first Cantar X1 sound report function was introduced. They must have had their reasons. A sound editor I know has always asked for ALEs - they are helpful in some way.
  10. I'm in a bit late in this discussion, but up to the last series I shot on 24fps film, we ran 30fps TC and 24bit 48K. The lab took care of all the rest. Since workflow is so different now (that was about 2012, or 2013), that may not be the right way to do it now...so no help really, just a bit of history. Please let us know how it all works out, Jon G.
  11. I use Remove available at drugstores for sticky stuff. Ether is the active ingredient.
  12. Cantar sound reports have always been closely related to the originating machine an very precise, accurate and having the ability to generate csv, pdf and ALE files. I don't know if anything else is needed? What does push back mean or is it relevant?
  13. Good Luck. antenna mast here we come;-}
  14. I've also been coming around to this, and so far DITs are happy (and they are aware of any hitches in sync if they are doing their job) which makes production happy. Frame rate changes and camera reboots are another matter. Funny that the "known issue still hasn't been dealt with.
  15. I would think, probably about the same as an NP-1, unless the chemistry is quite different. Maybe about 10% higher.
  16. I second RPs advice from experience, this works well. Don't care whether it's the camera dept, or us , and re-jam after frame rate changes, and battery reloads and all should be well. Regards, Jim Rillie
  17. 2 Boom ops for me if it's multi camera drama, but I don't work as much as I used to LOL
  18. Don't know how to quote Jeff, but I agree. The last sentence of Jeff's post says it all for us Lectro invested people. Gordon, Larry and Karl - are you booking this? Thanks Jeff for keeping this open for both camps. We are not at odds, just keeping up with the technology. What works, works in our circumstances. Feel the love. Best regards, Jim Rillie Production Sound Mixer
  19. I couldn't leave this alone any longer. Is this possible, or damaging? maybe what is required is "To boldly go where no man has gone before" credit: Star Trek original intro VO by actor William Shatner from NDG, who knows how to use his voice.
  20. No, they aren't , but I agree...;) They are a hiring agency sort of. Seem Ok, but just wondered if anyone else here had come across them. I will report back after the gig if anything untoward occurs, but they seem on the up and up. Jim
