  1. Where are we at with regards to timecode drift while powered off? Has this been addressed in the upcoming software update?
  2. I have a non-locking collar vdb. I barely ever even touch the lockers. I just slide the sections and they stay in place just enough. I can't imagine dealing with lockers anymore. Do the newer Manufactured vdb poles do this? Are there any downsides to never using the lockers over the long term?
  3. Thanks for letting us know Jack. What else can we possibly see in the next software update?
  4. John, Jack, thanks for your reply regarding volume knob. Thought I got a dud pot.
  5. First, be mindful of all water. I brushed my teeth once with tap. Big mistake. Be mindful of ice as well. Fanta, beer, cider and gin and tonics are good. With regards to packing for flight, I not a fan of the small pelicans, I opted for a lowepro backpack, the big one. Easier to carry and versatile. It's cabin approved and padded even if you gate check. Boom pole slides in little loops on the side. Perfect in my opinion. I carry on everything, the backpack filled to capacity and my petrol bag packed with mixer and all rf's. Nothing left to chance. Gear is on the left and personal bag on the right.
  6. My volume knob is kinda... Loose. It sorta jiggles. Was like that out of the box. It's as if the "set washer?" on the inside is loose. Is it just me?
  7. Maybe that can be communicated by private message directly to the member instead of posted in the thread...
  8. Tv/bag rate minimum. basic kit= 2rf 10+1 w/bk= 550 overtime@1.5= 75/hr 11+1 = 625 12+1 = 700 Flat rate = does not exist Hop= 50 - 100 xtraRF= 50 recorder= 75-100
  9. Perhaps think about mic'ing clothing or accessories. Cut some seams and rig a jacket or hello kitty backpack the kid is forced to wear all day. (by mom director) "Timmy, listen to mommy, if you wear your he-man backpack all day today mom will make you a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Ok?" Hide the tx with padding. Fresh lithiums will go all day in a g3. Find wardrobe that is friendly to hiding your transmitters. That's all I got.
  10. I'm not sure what is considered an "indie" shoot is these days... But, I don't think you would ever regret getting Mkh50. For any production.
  11. There are very few ways to lav someone with lots of face stubble if they are wearing a starchy collard shirt, and are kind hunched over talking.
  12. It does what it is supposed to but it's not pretty. Keep the tx transmission in middle of the block for best range, and do walktests every so often to ensure it remains "tuned".
  13. Here are pics of the filtered antenna. It's kind of fragile. I permanently mounted mine in this mini pelican. Tx waterbox?
  14. Purchased the black stereoline rx from a UK mixer. Came with the hirose. I modified my silver rx900 to match. Cost of the connector plus labour. 50$ maybe? There is room in there for the hirose. I love it.
  15. Nice form letter. I will use it at my next opportunity.
  16. Coco attached to Ex1 powering rx900.
  17. How was 2.76 unstable for you Rado?
  18. Found it. Thanks for your reply Jack.
  19. Where Is the tone routing page. Don't see the option.
  20. version 2.76. First day exploring the unit. After a few hrs, tone no longer engages.
  21. First afternoon playing nomad. Are there playback routing options?
  22. Thanks for posting this Rado. I was looking forward to this vid.
  23. I've had same situation happen powering my regular 'ol RX900 powered off an ex1 / ex3. Audio disappeared when voltage is low. Unit stayed powered though. Set-up: coco-ex by bebob engineering attached to Sony ex1, powered by large size nf battery. Not too long after low battery warning is heard on the camera, the danger zone begins. I lost three takes once. The second the warning pops up now, we change battery.
  24. Also, just to clarify, once the feature is enabled, only on the 8 and 12 (?) there will be the possibility of recording to external drive via USB? Great feature, would save the step at end of day of transferring from ejected CF, to (or through) laptop to external drive. A waste of time in my opinion(. I would hand off the CF card to production but that would entail having a small collection of cards. The rugged Lacie 500gig external hard drives are the norm for dumping around here. Provided by production. Sure would be great if one could just plug in and slip the drive in the bag then immediately hand off at wrap. Sad it's not enabled on the 6. (on order)
