  1. yea, within the union its listed under the same section. sound, playback and VTR. I've wondered if others mixers also dabbled in the VTR world. seems kinda counterintuitive tho, as not much of the gear is not cross compatible, mostly lots of picture boxes.
  2. its not necessarily for camera sends, its more of what is being sent to you. if you ever need to take a PA feed or plug into a mult box, I always use this. not saying Ive used it a lot over the years, but its always in my kit in my "problem solvers" pouch. depends a lot on your style of work, but do this long enough and you'll plug into something that'll give you a hum and you'll need it.
  3. Its a must have for every sound mixer. you never know when that little thingy can save your butt.
  4. I've been on a college football show this fall and here is my setup. Nova with 2 plug on zmt3hm to Sennheiser MD46 and a lectro T4 for IFB feed with IFBlues to our host/guests and producer. I'm hardlined to camera and I use a humkiller with the IFB feed from the truck. nothing crazy, just nice and simple.
  5. were you using an external mic plugged into the transmitter or just the transmitters built in mic? I've been using some basic earset headset style mics from microphone madness for some podcast recordings with the wireless go II system with pretty good and solid results, transmitter plugged into a tascam dr-07x.
  6. I just got 3 ifblue in 900mhz to go with my 2 r1a's. my producer and host that wear them for my show really like the ifblue's. said they feel lighter, they like the clip and think they sound better. range has been hard to judge as I haven't felt like walking that far from set (so far). I've not dropped them but the plastic doesn't feel like the brittle plastic that explodes on an impact, more kind of the soft'sh. I also like not having to deal with the dials of the r1a's. that was always kind of a pain. but I'm on week 3 with them and very stoked on the purchase.
  7. reported to be compatible with nomad and retail is $2700 I believe.
  8. Jeff, will you be gracing the event with your presence? *hovers finger over buy ticket now on delta app*
  9. I've got 2 cos-11's in my kit that I've had since 2008. they did 6 seasons of history channel's mountain men and I used them this week. I wouldn't say I'm rough on my gear but a show like that will do some heavy wear and tear. I'm a bit curious to how you're killing them so frequently.
  10. I've been doing some house upkeep, bicycle upkeep, riding a little more, staying local tho and editing some podcast episodes. these are all usual off day routines, but there's just more of them right now. but obviously not playing much with my friends. six feet!
  11. cinela pianissimo for heavier wind or the rycote soft-lite 21 for normal usage.
  12. nope, its a lot more complicated than that. residency is a lot different than citizenship. your best bet is to reach out to a immigration lawyer. i have one I've been speaking with in whistler.
  13. I'm an hour and half away in Brevard, Nc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
