The biggest Reality production company in the world just asked my buddy who was renting a grip truck “just the truck” to carry insurance on set of somebody gets hurt by his grip gear that he does not operate. He said no.

maybe their new stuff is good but those old receivers are very finicky. Get interference from … me breathing to close to them. 🙂 But seriously they have good range but get interference from walkie talkies. And the wide band is not ideal for transmitters in the bag. Wideband imho is a bad idea.

Trying to have it small but it is impossible. COuld have made it smaller but the 633 sprays so much RF garbage in the wisy receivers. Physical separation works but separate power source is the best. But I am not willing to carry the weight of an another battery for it.

Looks small and compact. Do you need the giant distro?

Funny story. I am renting gear for a long show. Production asked me and the grip company “ who are also just renting” to provide our own production insurance and to free them of liability if somebody gets hurt.

I use a $25 bag from amazon called condor. There is tread somewhere here. I designed a bag for Nova OneUnit but have not had time to make it.

This is just information. Proaim made a bag. Still old school heavy design and made of polyester but a cheaper version. Price is $167

For short cables it does not matter the kind of cable.

We have discussed this before but lets refresh. What is the benefit of S-corp vs payroll after the maximum deduction was raised? What deductions do you get with S-corp that you can not do as single proprietor? WHat is the benefit? Are you asked to have your own production insurance? Cost?

Don't know if this is a joke or a real statement but no. As I said if switched as omni the pickup pattern will get good voice with less detail in sibilance. I have dropped an Omni LC between few singers and even the once off axis sounded fine. Not to mention omni helps with comb filtering. Here is a 3d picture of how different polarizations pick up.

Maybe it’s set as omni. I have used it like that back at my music recording days when I did not have a pop screen Nothing wrong with this setup. Golden Ratio seams to be in tact. The pop screen might be a overkill but an overkill that does not hurt is ok in my book. Maybe it is backup omni. Again maybe it is omni and it sounds good. Might sound good. Less pop from air. Music video. I would have switched it as well. Looks cooler from that angle. It is sad but I have done it as well. B cam on a 24 pulled back. Pretty much Lav as final sound. Or even boom if it is quiet and good acoustical . Looks like mk41
