  1. It's kind of cool that it's 1969 though
  2. You guys know this already probably but there is a setting in the erx that will hold tc output to start a little later so if a erx battery dies and the briefly reboot it will not reset the tc to zero. Like others powerex's and eneloops always lasted long enough for me too.
  3. Thanks for putting time and effort into the waist belt. Could we see a pic of the system from the side, back and how it attaches to the bag. Good job k tek!
  4. Yeah especially the screen brightness. it s very deep in the menu. I suggest a hold bus button and turn menu combo to adjust on the fly. Zax do have A LOT on their plate right now.
  5. good point. I can t imagine a wire running out of a player's helmet.
  6. I wonder how they run the cable from the shoulder to the helmet?
  7. Thanks for sharing olle. The guy had no point on you really. You acted right. The only note i would add is that if you re doing a commercial shoot and you re counting on the video feed to get your audio to the client you re exposing yourself to a problem that you might struggle to fix than if it is your own equipment. My view on the subject is that i see audio passing through hdsdi and to camera monitor's speaker as a bonus but not my first way to go. I always carry a small battery speaker that i can slap on a comtek in a second to fix the issue. So if i encounter a situation like this i setup my speaker/comteks first and then test the monitor speaker. If it works i turn off my stuff but keep it around. At var min kronor. (Or whatever)
  8. Also, you can hold headphone button for one second to exit and save.
  9. So much assumptions about people going on here sometimes. I've been burned on what i thought was a legitimate questions. It's all so subjective i try to not pay attention to the judgment and focus on the precious information i gather here.
  10. Salut marc! Note that both zaxcom and lectro offer a 1 or 2 battery model transmitter that will significally change the size if the pack. You will sacrifice a lot of battery life if you wanna go small. I prefer longer battery life than size personnaly. The ability to take the belt clip off will help you the most when hiding the transmitter really.
  11. Two more requests: - some kind of shortcut to ajdust screen brightness faster. - a display of the zaxnet ifb mode on the card page ( tx, rx or tx/rx ).
  12. Ok so this is my first shot at the recording boompole. It's a little messy for now but it feels light enough to boom with the thing. The idea would be to have no bag at all for the simple and super mobile gigs. I look forward to take it to work. Let's see how this goes.
  13. I think you could get a sta150 adaptor an turn a trx900 into a 2 track recorder w timecode. Get a small analog mixer and voilà: backup kit. Personnally it s a sd's 302 and a zfr100 with the sta150 that are my backup kit for my nomad.
  14. Use a slate just to be sure. Plural eyes stuff is not 100% proof afaik.
  15. Indeed! So did you modified the transmitter yourself or you had somebody do it?
  16. I bought one of these iphone 4 waterproof cases from pelican for my erx but i dont use it as much because it s really too bulky. The one feature that i really like about it is that they have a little built in cable extension that protects the erx connector. That would be a great feature on a potential smaller k tek erx pouche. (Also a locking connector à la g3 would be icing on the cake). http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002Y26EUC?pc_redir=1399178925&robot_redir=1
  17. Yeah i'm in montreal so the trying stuff out from trew is always a bit more of a project. They are my go to store anyways.
  18. That's very good to know. I rented induction type earwigs from beau sons before but i'd rather move up to phonaks because of all the wardrobe issues. I'll give them a call next time around.
  19. Thanks phil, Exactly. I work 100+ days a year and ran into earwigs jobs like ten days total in my career. Oh and phonax are 1200$ each.. Damn.
  20. I get your point SM. I admit i've should have probably approached the issue another way rather than to just ask the group. I'm still amazed by the amount of judgment i got about who i am and how qualified i am coming from posting questions.
  21. SM are you serious? If this is becoming a sludge fest everytime i post a question about a situation that seems soooo obvious to you just let it be man. Why feeling the need to go all "call your local dealer and give us a break" or "you should know this stuff otherwise you re not a real mixer". I myself and bunch of other guys still like the questions threads because they bring perspective and opinions to the table. Even the "wich one is the best microphone" ones. I'm fine knowing that i don t know certain things and i don t mine posting my opinions about certain products that i know well. I'll just call my dealer next time around and not post anything if that makes you feel better. That way nobody won't learn anything.
