    Tuna T's

The hieroglyphs are clearly the best line !!
  3. I've been told that on some versions of firmware there is or was a bug that when the HDRx option was enabled on the camara, the camara wouldn't jam/sync to external TC, has anybody experienced this ?
  4. I've been searching for a good deal in Europe on that 16AA charger Tom mentions but unfortunately I didn't find anything... For those in the states, Amazon has them for 49.95$, a great bargain! http://www.amazon.co...L/dp/B005UNPM3M
  5. Does someone know if the TS-C slate already shows metadata(scene, take) coming from the Zaxcom recorders with Rado's setup ?
  6. Hi Brandon Here you a have a list of Broadcasters in the Barcelona area http://www.tdt1.com/canales-barcelona/ As David says stay away from ch 69 :-) it's better to stay away from the 800Mhz range in Spain, you will be fine with blocks 20, 21 and 25. All Europe is legally limited to 50mW, but in practice you won't be in trouble in Spain using 100mW Good luck
  7. I have one with more or less the same problem that Sebastian has, it "cracks" when you move the cable near the capsule area, but the funny thing is that after 5min plugged in the transmitter (UM400) the crackling disappears., you move the cable and everything fine... It's like it needs to warm up to start working :-)
  8. I understand the commodity of having all the info here on JW but I personally think that it should be an external site, like more or less the rest of the manufacturers have. So maybe that way the day that Zaxcom decides to host a discussion group or forum it in their new official web site maybe all information could be transfered.
  9. Hi If you are on a PC you could try Wav Saver http://www.railjonrogut.com/WAV%20Saver.htm
  10. Hi I'm working on set right now... The only way to do this in Reaper, would be playing your mp3 file thru an external device (mp3 player, ipod etc...) And connecting the output of that external device to the audio inputs of the sound card of the computer running Reaper. Then set Reaper to chase external LTC timecode, (options, external syncronization settings) And then rerecord your audio in Reaper, that way will have your audio aligned to actual the timecode of your mp3 and you can then visualize the HH:MM.SS.FF in Reaper's time window, which is probably what you need to transcribe your audio. Edit OK I'm back home :-) Once you open the external syncronization setting window, check the following options, and be sure to select the correct input where you are inputting the timecode, left, right etc... (be sure also that your timecode level is not too high or to too low) and also select your LTC frame rate, if everything is set right you will see Reaper locking to that timecode and the transport running... Then move your mouse to the counter display and right click with mouse and select the Hours:minutes:seconds:frames setting and then do the same exactly the same with the upper timeline.
  11. I don't know how things are in the USA, but here in Europe or at least in Spain, the retail prices of hard drives have doubled or in some cases tripled. a 2 TB drive you could buy a week ago for 70€ is now around 140€, Don´t know if this will have an impact in the price on the recorders we normally use in our work http://www.forbes.co...ive-components/
  12. Hi Wyatt You can do this very easily with REAPER 4, you can download a full working free/demo version from here http://www.reaper.fm/ both Mac and Windows versions are available Once installed open Reaper and go to file in the menu and choose project settings, set there your sampling rate and timecode values,.close the window and then in the main screen change the big time ruler to hours, minutes, seconds, frames (point the mouse and right click with mouse) so that way will will have a visual reference of your TC Import your TC stamped file, once you have your file in the timeline select it and go to item in the main menu and select item procesing and then select move items to source preferred position ( this will move the file to the TC stamped value) After that create a new track (go to the track section, press right mouse button and choose create new track) Select the item again and then go with your mouse to the timeline which is just above and then right click and choose set selection to item This will select the left/right locators to the item's length. Select track 2 with the mouse and go to insert in the menu and choose SMPTE LTC/MTC Timecode Generator this will generate the linear timecode track With the mixer adjust the levels for your TC track and pan your music and TC tracks Go to file and choose render to create your final mix file in wav, mp3 etc.... That's it !! Eric
  13. I also sometimes miss this function from the 744T on my Fusion, the flexibililty to output disk tracks to the outputs instead of only the inputs is a nice thing to have. Also as Matthias says, in playback or cue mode there is no way to assign for example 2 different tracks to a single output. It would be nice if Zaxcom could implement maybe another routing option screen something like this for example, that could be used also for playback mode
  14. Seems that Rode has come up with a new microphone for their NTG series. Comparisons are quite obvious It's 4mm longer and 40gr lighter than the MKH 816. The Mic still doesn't appear on Rode website, but seems that is for sale on some online stores http://www.hhb.co.uk/news.php?nid=64
  15. Is the Scene and Slate info kind of displayed first a few frames or a second let's say and then the TC and when you close the sticks the userbits? Or how does it work? It would be nice if Charly from Denecke would chime in and explain with more detail, also if every Denecke Slate could be modified.
  16. Well from what I read besides the 2 extras tracks you get also these extras for your $1100 High Speed USB storage interface Wi-Fi USB modem file transfer + WIFI dongle 3 media recording capability with MP3 transcription Best Eric
  17. Well I don't know in the U.S but in Europe the VW Passat is still going strong ! http://youtu.be/kVj3e5h4o04
  18. Well looking at the new Mixpre-D I wouldn't be surprised to see SD coming with a 302-D kind of mixer
  19. Will the CL-Wifi work on the 744T with a future firmware upgrade or is it something that we can forget. Also looking forward to an Android version Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
  20. Jeff, have a quick search on Ebay, you'll be quite surprised :-) http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=usb+to+ide+sata&_frs=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m359
  21. Is it just me or what, but don't you guys think that 250$ is maybe a bit too expensive for just an off the shelf USB to IDE/SATA converter with a custom PCB board ?
  22. Hi Andy If it's Lectro stuff (UCR411a/UM400, etc...) I might be interested depending on the price, condition, etc... :-) What are you planning to sell ? Thanks Eric
  23. Mmm funny issue...I don't use the Hirose connector on my unit very much. But I'll try to help What output were you using on the HDX900 the headphones or the 5 pin? The headphone out on the camera has volume control on the camera but I doubt it could give you so hot levels. Were the levels of the camera trim in the general trim page so hot that they're in the red zone ?, even if trimmed down to -20 db? I would calibrate the camera sending 1khz from the Fusion and match the -20db of the Fusion with -20db on the camera, then go to the trim page on the Fusion and then adjust the camera return trim level with the less & more gain buttons. Since the Hirose camera inputs are summed into mono in the Fusion there could be some level differences.
