  1. You could always drill proper holes into your Sennheiser mount and make the lyers work. They are available in an upgrade. Just be careful that you drill the right size holes. Of course you'll have to get the positioning correct
  2. Would be neat if there was a way to make the old sound devices cl1 toggle switch work with it.
  3. Not to mention when you get it back it will be good as new.
  4. Maybe that's why it was used. Someone tried it didn't like how it sounded so they sent it back. And now they passed it onto you. Buy a 50 and be happy for life. Yes it costs alot more but think of the happiness it will bring.
  5. Send it back. Request another Amazon has a return policy. That's not normal for something that is said to be new. Perhaps it was previously returned and not completely checked over before going on its journey to you. Was it advertised as being new or used or refurbished???
  6. Believe Ithe RF choke is called Würth 744212100 It was mentioned in a schoeps CCM cinela thread so it might work???
  7. I remember on a different thread there was a RF choke that could be installed in the XLR connector perhaps that' may help??
  8. May help to know what mic you are using that's causing you misery . Does this happen with all your mics or just the particular mic?
  9. That's what $12 will buy you.
  10. Honestly not sure why you would want to risk an expensive mic and windscreen with a cheap untested model from b&h at the end of a pole Spend the money and get what everyone knows will work and has been used on a pole by many. Personally I wouldn't trust those cheap models. Maybe for stationary they are fine but not the other.
  11. That's what I meant. Taping the switch won't affect the polar pattern. Just prevention of possible wind getting in through the switch openings.
  12. Taping the switches does not affect anything. It has nothing to do with the pick up pattern.
  13. Never been inside a Sony transmitter so it was just a thought
  14. How difficult would it be to open up the Sony transmitter and try to Frankenstein something to change this to make it compatible?
  15. It did yes. Sadly I don't use that Setup anymore really and have moved to a more smaller Setup for traveling. It was so I can have backup power when running the. 788 with 8 wireless
  16. I did open one up to make an external power battery. Yes i was able to open it up by being careful I think I used a flat putty knife to get into it. Unscrew first then go at it slowly.
  17. Unscrew and very gently pry apart. Getting started is the hardest part.
