  1. Seeing as this is my first response in this thread I hope it won't get me removed from this website. Still I feel that I must say I sincerely hope that Stephen is wrong when he says the future of filmmaking belongs to guys like him. If he is right I am glad I have the family pet kennel business to fall back on because I will be getting out of this one.
  2. Hey Jeff if you have the ability to delete posts you should dump this one, it's a shame we can't avoid this sort of spamming.
  3. Hi, I'm Stu McKee a 695 boom op. I actually keep 2 pairs of gloves on a beaner on my belt every day, regardless of weather. I have the leather setwear gloves just for handling cable, I try to never touch a cable without them on (of course I should admit that I'm a bit of a germophobe). Then I have the cloth setwear gloves that are just for handling the pole, no cables. These I wear about %60 of the time, usually if my hands are sticky or sweaty. I adapted this method about 3 years ago and it has worked fine. I have to replace the cloth gloves every couple of months but the leathers will last a whole year, if I don't throw them away after working downtown!
  4. Thank You very much Phillip, I shall now attempt to put this new knowledge to good use. thanks -stu
  5. Hi everyone, What is the best way to transfer DAT to the Mac? Prefferably directly to iTunes? Any and all suggestions welcome, especially if you have already done this. Thanks -stu
  6. Hi my name is Stu McKee. I was turned on to this web site today by "OldSchool" (who also nicknamed me EZstreet) and this is my first post. I live in LA and work as a Boom Op in local 695.
