  1. Rycote will be holding an evening social event on Tuesday 7th July from 7.00 pm -10.00 pm for any London-based sound recordists. The event will be held at The Blue Anchor pub in Hammersmith, London & they will be plenty of food & liquid refreshments provided. Plus we'll bring the crew up from Stroud so you can meet some of the people who design & make the kit. Our audio designer Chris Woolf & myself will be on hand to answer any "technical" questions you may have, and demo the new smaller Cyclone kits. I'm also happy to say our good friend Helmut Wittek from Schoeps will there too to answer any questions you have too. We have limited availability, so if you if you’d like to join us please email your RSVP to Tim Constable, E. tim@rycote.com with “Rycote Social 2015” in the subject. Venue: The Blue Anchor 13 Lower Mall Hammersmith London, W6 9DJ www.blueanchorlondon.com Cheers, Simon Managing Director, Rycote Microphone Windshields Ltd
  2. Yes, there's plenty of room to add the CCM8 onto the CMIT, it'll just need a CB8 Connbox in place of the standard cable. We'll be showing some prototypes of the two smaller sizes of Cyclone at NAB in a couple of weeks (available in the summer), and then also MS variants, XY & DMS later in the year at IBC. Plus after a few requests, we'll have a 5cm Super-Softie to show too at NAB. Cheers, Simon
  3. Hi George, The Cyclone production finally started last week, and production units will be shipping at the end of this week. Cheers, Simon Tech Support, Rycote
  4. This is the part number from Lemo. Word of warning - I'd imagine there will be minimum order quantities Lemo FVN.00.650.KLAC31Y triaxial straight plug http://www.lemo.nl/assets/files/Catalogus/00%20Series%20preliminary.pdf Cheers, Simon
  5. The standards of Whitworth (aka BSW) & UNC 3/8" threads have slightly different thread angles (BSW 55 degrees & UNC 60 degrees), and therefore are only compatible in certain combinations. The following combinations work: BSW male - BSW female UNC male - UNC female BSW male - UNC female The combination of UNC male - BSW female however won't fit together.... This will therefore cause problems when a BSW female thread is used on a handle of boom adaptor, and a UNC male thread is used on a pole. Here's a link with a sketch that explains the angle quite well: http://tinyurl.com/c83wkm2 Cheers, Simon Davies, Rycote
