INV-Lite 19 (041136) DPA 4017B, 4017C; 4018C Sanken CS-1e Sennheiser MKH 8060, 8050, 8040, 8020 INV-Lite 21 (041135) Schoeps MiniCMIT
  4. Hi Denzil, sorry to hear that - shoot me a quick email to simon at rycote.com Cheers, Simon Please drop me a line Ken
  5. If you find them, let me know
  6. Thanks. A short pile black fur Windjammer will be added to the price list Chris - cheers, Simon
  7. Sorry about that Glen - if you've still got them email me directly with Simon at rycote.com
  8. The Lyres are relatively simple in construction, and made from a material called Hytrel that shouldn't stress fracture or break, even when abused. That said, if you get one that does fail - please let me know as I'd want to see it. We make quite a few of them, and manufacturing does occasionally spew out weird parts with crystalline parts. We'd swap that out immediately if that happened. Cheers, Simon
  9. Yes, we've had some of the beta-testers who've added a Windjammer to give additional protection. They used 5cm Smoothie Windjammers from memory. That said - for the most part though, the testers only used the Baseball for interiors and it stayed on the mics (dominated mainly by DPA4018C, MKH 50, MKH8050 & Schoeps CMC's).
  10. We've started in black (very creative of us) but to make different colours isn't too difficult if there's a demand. Mike - The Baseball is only 75mm (3") diameter, so performs much less than the larger Super-Softie in terms of wind reduction. It's really as a step up from a regular foam gag, but below that of say the BBG windshield to reduce the "swoosh" from fast re-cue's. The structure is an open cell foam, exactly the same as in the Super & Classic-Softies, with a fine version of the fleece from our original Hi Wind Covers. The Baseball is finished off with a very fine rubber seal on the back - which is smaller than the Softie end cap, and therefore less likely to cause any reflections. Cheers, Simon
  11. Hi Mike, We're just waiting for the parts to arrive, so we should be shipping by the end of January. PM at simon@rycote.com and I'll let you know once they're heading out the door. Cheers, Simon
  12. If you're going to use the MiniCMIT with a Softie, the 12cm Classic-Softie (19/22) & the INV-7 HG MkIII goes well with it. The mount needs to clip partially onto regular XLR, rather than a short version.
  13. For the moment yes. The new clamp & lever parts will arrive early in 2017 The difference is the rear clamp/lever, as the DPA 4017b or c are 19mm rather than 21mm for the Schoeps. The 4017 version will also work well with the 4018, 8060 & CS-1.
  14. The MiniCMIT will fit into the Cyclone, Small & a new MiniCMIT Modular kit we've got coming too - same size as the WS1, just over 300g excluding the mic.
  15. A short interview with Russell Edwards, who is the Sound Supervisor on Amazon's The Grand Tour & previously Top Gear. http://rycote.com/microphone-windshield-shock-mount/russell-edwards/
  16. A 19mm version of clamp for 4017C, MKH 8060 & CS1 users is coming too as an InVision (interior mount), followed by shorter versions of the clamp for fitting into the Cyclone (or Modular). The windshield versions of the clamps are shorter so the centre line of the mic sits within the Lyre. Cheers..
  17. The slots are completely clear (the attached shows a 50mm diameter foam fitted)... the Lyre is just under 80mm across.
  18. Couple of pictures of the Tac!T board (front & back)
  19. Hi everyone, We recently had the pleasure to talk to Production Sound Mixer, James Sieczka. After working in Asia for many years and learning from Oscar winners Greg Curda and Emmy winner Les Wolf, he returned to the States to partner with Noise Boys LLC. We're really grateful for the interview and tips he shares with us. The interview shares some great insights of what it takes to move along the career path of a professional sound engineer. http://rycote.com/microphone-windshield-shock-mount/interview-with-james-sieczka/ They'll be more interviews to follow - I hope you enjoy it. 21. Yes, there's plenty of room to add the CCM8 onto the CMIT, it'll just need a CB8 Connbox in place of the standard cable. We'll be showing some prototypes of the two smaller sizes of Cyclone at NAB in a couple of weeks (available in the summer), and then also MS variants, XY & DMS later in the year at IBC. Plus after a few requests, we'll have a 5cm Super-Softie to show too at NAB. Cheers, Simon
  22. Hi George, The Cyclone production finally started last week, and production units will be shipping at the end of this week. Cheers, Simon Tech Support, Rycote
  23. This is the part number from Lemo. Word of warning - I'd imagine there will be minimum order quantities Lemo FVN.00.650.KLAC31Y triaxial straight plug http://www.lemo.nl/assets/files/Catalogus/00%20Series%20preliminary.pdf Cheers, Simon
  24. The standards of Whitworth (aka BSW) & UNC 3/8" threads have slightly different thread angles (BSW 55 degrees & UNC 60 degrees), and therefore are only compatible in certain combinations. The following combinations work: BSW male - BSW female UNC male - UNC female BSW male - UNC female The combination of UNC male - BSW female however won't fit together.... This will therefore cause problems when a BSW female thread is used on a handle of boom adaptor, and a UNC male thread is used on a pole. Here's a link with a sketch that explains the angle quite well: http://tinyurl.com/c83wkm2 Cheers, Simon Davies, Rycote
