  1. When I was shooting in the artic with a cabled boom ,I would immediately extend the boom when I would go outside, because the cable freezes very fast and can break in the cold.

    Need help with an old Schoepes CMC5( 48v) and hyper cardiod capsule. When I turn on my mixer ,after about 5 minutes there is a loud pop from the mic. Does not happen the rest of the day, even if i shut off power. It's almost like the power supply builds up energy then release's it with one big pop.So if any one has had this happen and knows of a fix ,please let me know. Thanks Brent

  8. I always try to have a big plastic bag withe me as a back up. Big enough to put the mixer and boom mic in all together.

  10. Just on a side note. I lost the actual mesh screen on my cos 11. can this be repaired. I' hate to lose a good working microphone because of this tiny piece of mesh. Thanks b.
