  1. Hi. We are doing a shoot in Gambia. Does anybody know what frequencies to use? Regards Benny
  2. no its +2 celsius. its Sweden in January 500 feet down
  3. Thanks all for great advice! There is water on the walls and a big lake in the bottom of the mine, but maybe the air isnt so humid. Then maybe its more the tempature that is the issue with the Schoeps. Ill bring the old 416 with me!!
  4. Thanks. I have 2 pairs of 416 and 2 pair of CMC6Mk41. Maybe it helps that the Schoeps are brand new? When I looked in the manual for the CMC6/MK41 i found this: ------- Care of Colette Series Condenser Microphone Capsules – If the microphone is brought from the cold outdoors into a warm environment, snapping or clicking noises can result from the con- densation of moisture. In such a case the microphone should be given time to reach room temperature, and as a rule it will then perform flawlessly. – Sometimes dirt can get into the contacts at the end of the microphone amplifier or of an Active Accessory where the capsule is attached; this, too, can cause impulse noise. You can clean the contacts yourself by using compressed air (without lubricant) from an aerosol can. If that doesn't help, you can scrub them with a new, clean toothbrush dipped in isopropyl alcohol, holding the microphone amplifier or Active Accessory so that the contacts face downward. Shake off any extra fluid; under no circumstances can it be allowed to flow into the amplifier! Be careful to wipe the contacts dry. ------
  5. Hi. I'm going to record in silvermine from the 1400 century in Sweden. It's about 500 feet underground and the temp is 36 degrees F all year and its very humid. How long does it take for the schopes to adapt to a extreme temp and humidity? Schould I leave the microphones in the mine instead of taking them with me up in room temp every evening? Regards Benny
  6. My boom op is complaining about the gmc swivel is to loose. Is it possible to tighten it? /Benny

  11. Think one of the best new things is the "Timeline Cache" (PT10HD, HD Native, Complete) Caches the audio files in the RAM and makes your session fast and smooth. http://www.airusersblog.com/home-page/2011/10/22/pro-tools-10-timeline-cache-crash-tests-without-hd-hardware.html /Benny
  12. Hi guys. I'm a sound engineer from Sweden and this is my first thread in the forum. A really great forum with amazing information from you all! Good work Jeff! I'm about to buy a 9v charger and AA charger for my TX and RXs. I have heard many good things about the IPower for 9v and PowerX for AAs. The PowerX is available in Europe but the IPower isn't. Is it possible to change the power chord if you but it from US? regards Benny
