  1. I would definitely use boot camp if I was gaming in windows or doing anything requiring lots of RAM/ processing. VMware is good if you need to run both OS's at the same time, but for gaming you will want all the resources you can free up.
  2. Lectro gives out the AA ones every now and then with a purchase and they're great. I've used that same 9v caddy before and I found the little clips that hold the batteries in will break pretty easily. I prefer the iPower ones for 9v.
  3. Are they cheaper? What's wrong with Pelican?
  4. You can't get an Amira for $2500 and even if you could, it still wouldn't shoot in 4k.
  5. I used a drill to put holes in the aluminum battery doors for my LMa's. Been using battery eliminators for about 6 months now, no regrets.
  6. Looking for a sound mixer with gear, 788 or similar for a shoot this Friday. Rate and rental negotiable.
  7. I didn't realize the mixer was trying to save her, I just thought he was trying to get killer audio. hxxp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qss9CKJUt0Q
  8. Better late than never! Just waiting on a few cables to complete this. 2nd SRb to inputs 4/5, tape out to LMa hops, Left-Right XLR to DR40, DR40 to m216. NP1 is under mixer.
  9. Looks great Jan! As always, thanks for sharing and keep us posted.
  10. I think if I were in your situation, I would be leaning more towards Metric Halo products than Sound Devices. hxxp://mhsecure.com/metric_halo/products/hardware/lio-8.html
  11. Can you provide more information? Like which walkies you are using, and which channel they were on when this was happening? What block is your QRX on, frequencies? Maybe someone can recreate the problem.
  12. I've been an Nvidia fanboy for some time now, but I hardly think those AMD cards are rubbish.
  13. This helps protect from drool when I open my Lectro boxes.
  14. I prefer to use UM's or LMA's for hops, because I can easily turn on and off from the top, as well as check for low battery.
