All great advice! …but maybe most important is headphones that that isolate you from the loud noise in the club like the Remote Audio HN7506. You need to hear what your mixing.

I assume it would work with all carbon fiber poles.
Not very DIY either but I've been using the "dry tube" from the folks at Vark Audio. It is a plexiglass tube cut to length and has desicant in the stoppers on each end. They work great and dries out the mike when needed.
