  1. Indeed, being able to switch from cart to bag in seconds is amazing and really impress Production. Over here, we are battling to have one boom op on a fiction shoot but they are shooting with two cameras all the time....
  2. I have to swap my Comtek batteries 9v. I have been using ipower 9v batteries so far. I have to change them now, they are really old. What have you guys using? I want a full day of use out of them.... Thanks Pascal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Indeed it is heavy but I carry it for very short period of time, 15-20minutes and then it's off. I end up doing one shot pass for every 5 scenes or something. No more. So maybe 1 hour total a day. I am looking at making a stand for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Brian I use the X3 in a bag designed to fit quickly into my cart. I can easily use it in a bag for a couples of hours, even booming for a second boom when required. Started doing this last week and it was great. Would not wear it all day since it is a little heavy but yet, after about 8 hours, my back is doing fine. As a backup/second kit for docu work, I have a SD 633 kit at the ready. Here is a pics of me wearing the bag. Not so heavy by the way. Ps, I power my Octopack with a single Remote Audio Hi-Q 98wh for a full day. I also use the same 98wh for the Cantar ( external power ) and usually need two 98wh and one or two 49wh ( internal ) to do a full 12 hours day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hé guys, looking into the Inspired energy batteries ( Remote audio Hi-q, audio root etc.. ). But aside from audio root dual charger, I'm not finding a multibay ( 4-8 ) charger anywhere. Any ideas? Thanks Pascal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I got one and tried physically, seems to fit but didn't try it in shooting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Rycote told me to try them, no idea if would fit. Anyone as one they could measure? Inside length and width. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hi Guys, I use my DPA 4098 all the time and loving it. Best little plant mic out there. But when I use it in a car, a lot of time, I would need a better wind protection setup, something like a little softie. I researched it and didn't find anything out yet. Any ideas? Thanks Pascal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Guys, shooting a series. Director insist on whispering actors... And it's a goddam Red!!!! Fan is killing me!! Anybody knows the setup on a red Scarlett dragon for the fan. 13. I would like to see a SL6B, an additional module to fit on top of the SL6, no battery slot and with analog out, would have an extra set of RF out so it can hookup to SL6 antenna in ( one set of antenna for the two units ). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stereo ifb

He guys, I am trying to find a stereo ifb system, something with a portable transmitter ( belt pack sized ) and receiver. Wanna be able to send to my boom op/director but remain mobile. No base station please. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. You made my morning!!! So beautiful!! Congrats to all your family. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Personally I think that the upgrade from A to B was mostly due to fixes. Sra was not so great and it was made for slot use but Lectrosonics was surprised to see so many people using them in a bag setup. Unfortunately, SRA wasn't so good in a bag and Lectro, we have to give them credit for this, upgraded the unit so that they would be way more usable in a bag and offered a very cool upgrade path for it. I believe they also solved some more basics design issues at the same time. The C version for me is not a fix but a new model with new features, an upgrade, of course would be nice but I doubt it. 19. I very rarely use 250mw, one could keep one or two of the single block units for those times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. SM wideband is a must. Actors are actually now aware of the small size of the tx and costume is now planning on us having tiny Tx for hidding them in tighter cloths. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. The unit uses the highest voltage available. So if you have an NP1 cup with a battery charged at 16vdc on input 1 and the PSC power supply on input 2 ( supplying 15vdc ), the power star will use the NP1 first until it reaches 15vdc, at which point it will switch to the power supply. If by any chance the power supply was disconnected, it seamlessly would switch back to the NP1. If the same but with two NP1 instead, it will drain the highest charged first and when it reaches the second battery voltage, will uses the two at the same time, draining them together with twice the power available. Great unit. Works like a charm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. OMG!!! I had so many conversation with Tyler and so many good experience!!! Really helped me right from the beginning of my move to Canada ( 10 years ago ) until last week. You will be missed my friend. I wish you all the best in your new endeavor!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Played with one at Trew Toronto today. Found it sounded really good but it is extremely sensitive to manipulation. I mean the entire mic ( body, gooseneck and element ) is extremely microphonic. Can't imagine using it without some sort of suspension. Simply mounting it to a sun visor, I would think you would get some serious handling noise when driving the car on the road. Anybody feeling the same way? Maybe there is something I am missing here? Some accessories or special trick to use it. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I have a question regarding the slim. It is available in two sensitivity: lo and hi. I have Sanken Cos11d ( regular sensitivity I guess.... ) and they handle pretty much everything I throw at them, from whispering to screaming. Now of course, it is the capsule that can take the pressure. My question is the following, how is the slim hi sensitivity mic holding when an actor is screaming? Is the capsule crapping? Is the output level too high for a Lectrosonics tx set to low gain? Or is it working... I cannot afford to double up on lavalier, both hi and lo sens. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I wish that some mfg would do retro looking gear with modern feature. Kinda like the Cantar X1-2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
