  2. @KISHOR CHAUHAN How are those knobs attached?
  3. I've never had any pre-roll issues on v2.0. What's the issue like? I am using Sandisk extreme plus 80 MB/s. Don't think it's officially supported but it passes both tests and so far no card related issues.
  4. I would say there were only one right and several wrong TC settings. Not some settings being less stable. But considering the relatively little amount of offset my guess would be the lack of internal battery to run the TC when shut down and the operator not knowing about this "feature".
  5. The link seems to be dead. I'm making a standard TRS jack to summed G3 line level input. Have any of you had any luck with this wiring without any in line pading? Standard stereo source: Tip - hot Ring - cold Sleeve - ground G3 line input: Tip - ground Ring - hot+cold Sleeve - ground
  6. I would guess the timecode was going on the RTC each time the unit was shut down. That would cause it to drift seconds out of time through the day.
  7. @Koca what kind of battery did you use? And what voltage?
  8. @ZoomOfficial Do you know if there is a new firmware on the way? Here are some more things i think needs to be fixed or improved Being able to see level meters on other channels when you PFL/solo a track. Recording a mono mix track (L, R or L+R) Cool if we could build deeper folder structures. Manually setting next take number instead of only being able to reset to T-001. When you pan a mono source hard left or right there is a 3db volume boost on the L/R track that should be compensated for. (This is more a bug than a feature wish) When the meters are set to peak only the resolution of the on screen meters changes to the center being -12dbfs opposed to when in peak + VU the center is below 0 (-20dbfs) witch is much more preferable. (added some pictures of a -20dbfs slate tone for reference)
  9. Here are my initial thoughts on improvements after playing with the unit for about a week. I realy hope zoom will continue support and add features in the future. Some of these things might be an easy fix. Others maybe not so much. Im still pretty new to the machine so please chime in if you disagree or if there are workarounds i have missed. - Clip indicators should be able to reset and go away after a set amount of sec. I find pressing stop+5 shortcut risky during take. - Shortcut to flip pots from trim to fader. Plus a clear visual representation of the different modes from any screen. - Better connection with Bluetooth device. If i close the window on my iPhone during take i cannot reconnect again. Also make it easier to go from iPhone connected to iPad or vice verca. - Option for 4GB file size could be implemented? - Would be nice if the timecode jam screen could display the TC int ext difference. - Headphone presets. Would be nice to easily switch back and forth between a couple of different monitoring presets without menu diving. - When selecting a parameter in the menu by pressing the scroll wheel i think the screen should go back to the previous screen.
  10. RX also leaves the metadata in. Works great running standalone and it runs VST and AUs.
  11. I personally did not have any issues with the dialogue. Although the sub was a bit too exaggerated in some parts for my taste.
  12. The 664 will not record at a higher samplerate than 48 khz. Might be a dealbreaker for some.
  13. Hei! Holder til i Lillehammer for øyeblikket. Gøy å se noen skrive norsk her! I have access to a couple of DPA 4011 so i'll bring those with me if visible mics is not a problem (does any of you have experience with that mic?). If mic in the shot is not wanted i'll try putting it on the boom. This is good advice. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope the player and room is good and come prepared.
  14. Thanks guys, your responses are great! I think I'll use the opportunity to try out both the lav on the violin and a mic to pick up more of the ambience. Ill try to keep it simple and do a mono mic. Probably the mic i'm using for the interview. Maybe i'll even get some of that experience senator keeps talking about.
  15. Thanks for the response! I think the lav on the bridge is the way i will go. After a search i found this contraption. Anyone know if this is any good, or better, if there is a more DIY approach to this. I really don't want to ruin a violin with tape.
