Hello, my name is Richard Cranach and I recently relocated to L.A. from Eugene Oregon. I just completed a two year AAOS Multimedia Design degree. During the two years at college we touched on a good amount of audio production (multi channel field recording with lav's and boom, and some post production sound design projects with Pro Tools 8). Although I've been recording music on DAW's for years, it was these classes that first sparked my interest in audio production as a career. During school I did my internship at a production company called The Division out of Springfield Oregon. After school was over in 2011 they eventually hired me as a freelance sound recordist, sound editor, and music composer for two of their reality tv shows ("Graveyard Carz" out on Discovery Channel's Velocity network in April 2012, and "Lynch For Hire" out on MavTV this year). After the first season was wrapped, I woke up to the realities of temporary work in the slow northwest film scene. So I decided to move to a bigger pond. So far I have enjoyed L.A. for the weather, diversity, and being close to the ocean. I just arrived the 1st of March and I'm eager to get started on tv and film projects. If anybody is looking - or knows of anybody else looking - for help as an A2/utility/boom operator and/or sound design in post - please don't hesitate to contact me. I am professional, arrive early, friendly, tidy, and conscious of good set etiquette. I am relaxed and enjoy a little fun banter on set. I'm also very focused, quiet, patient and a team player.
