  1. Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. But wouldn't that be cool...
  2. Scratching my head. Somehow routing 2-channel RTN to X1/X2, only way I could see having 2 more "ISO" while staying in the 10-track limit. If it were possible.
  3. For those curious, You can use a SL-6 and CL-6 simultaneously with the 688. With this configuration, the SL-6 can only be mounted on top, and CL-6 on the bottom. When used in conjunction with the CL-6, the smaller rotary faders become gain trim control. Also - the 788T is going nowhere.
  4. Ultra-low noise preamps that Sound Devices is famous for.
  5. Both the 664 and 688 share the same overall physical attributes.
  6. It needs to be constantly connected. The numbers stopping at the clap is an additional convenience, but editors can stil match up the frame, timecode, and sound/waveform of the clap. If needed, you can alternate display between TC and UBits too
  7. Well, You could get something like this. A TC display like Betso's TCD1, hooked up to your lockit box, could be a money saving option. Supports all standard DF/NDF FPS, and shows User Bits too. The downsides would be having to attach a clapper of some kind, and the numbers wont "stop" at the clap. It has an internal rechargeable battery, or DC power. The screen turns off for power saving after inactivity.
  8. In that case, what if multiple receivers of different diversity types are being coupled together into something like an RF Multi? Will this favor a certain antennae setup?
  9. Is there any disadvantage to using the 2-in-1 nature of the Diversity Fin, compared to two individual fins? I'm building a very low footprint bagmobile and an antenna like that could cut down on space and loading time. Thanks
  10. Hi olphi, I sent you an email. Thanks for reaching out!
  11. Maybe - Two characters walking in from a doorway, he's gradually transitioning from radio to boom when the boom becomes favorable, either because of camera framing, boom op position, background/crew noise, or whatever else. The fader bumps potentially create more separation between noise and dialogue for editors to lay in. So, he's doing his job.
  12. You may find "audio equipment", but the difficulty is finding a package that can match yours.
  13. In that region, Guangzhou, maybe Shenzhen. For the best chance at finding major brands however, see if suppliers from major areas (Beijing, Shanghai, HK) are able to rent/ship gear to your location. Get in contact with Cloud Wang on this forum too - he's got a full Zax arsenal.
  14. Chrome boom! Chrome boom! Chrome boom! Chrome boom!

  16. Hi Tony! Was the track on this BTS a blend of the two sources, or primarily the Schoeps?
