WTB KMR 81 D! Pm me if you have one. Thanks!
  2. Sorry to revive such an old thread... Can any of you fine folks recommend/link a diode? Nominal power is 12.8 volts and 3 amp output. Many thanks!
  3. Many thanks! This model lists 240 ultraflex as compatible on the mouser site. Sold! Thanks!
  4. I took advice from this thread and went with ultraflex 240. Made the mistake of ordering the 50ohm connector below. The ultraflex would not fit. May I ask what connectors you guys are using for thicker gauge cables? Thank you
  5. Hey soundio, did you ever find out about the wiring? How did this set up work for you? Thanks
  6. I am using the Meon. It outputs 13.7V when plugged into AC. A bit worried about the BST25. Thoughts?
  7. Sorry to revive this post... I am curious what regulators you folks went with? Any concerns about RF spray from the regulator? Thank you
  8. Looking for SD688 Hirose 10-pin wiring pin out for AES3 5-6 & 7-8. I've checked manual, and googled with no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
  9. Are two tracks being recorded? One audio input, and one LTC? Or is this an audio file that is striped with time code?
  10. Hmmm thanks for the suggestion, but more granular control would be ideal. I might have to do a DIY all in one mini box to achieve the specs. I would normally agree, but so far she has requested nothing but lower volume from what we thought would be appropriate for the locations
  11. Is anyone aware of a product similar to the Lectrosonics Mute Switch, but with a rotary gain control before the transmitter? The problem I am trying to solve is a 1rst AD wants a lav voice of god with mute switch and her own (easy to adjust) gain control. Neither of the lectro digital or older rotary dial gain controls will be user friendly enough for quick commands through the mic. I do understand gain structure goes out the window, but sonic quality is not important. The speaker would be cranked, and she could dial in her own volume as she sees fit in the moment of time. Please share your thoughts. Thank you.
  12. Ended up going with the Pwr+ USB-C Laptop Car Charger. Looked into the Gearmo charger, but there was over heating issues in the reviews. So far the Pwr+ operates with almost no additional heat (EDIT: if charging from a low battery, this unit will get hot, but not enough to concern me). Macbook pro reads 80 to 90 watt input. Impressed! https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B004G6W8U4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  13. I soldered a 45W car charger to 4 pin XLR and tried charging my macbook. Although it charges at first, a few minutes later it breaks the connection due to what I think is the "Power Delivery negotiation protocol". I guess the computer negotiates a voltage, and wattage through a circuit board found in apple brand ac adapters, and other licensed by apple products. After doing some digging, I found this: USB Type C Power Converter with 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V & 20V Power Delivery - PD60: https://www.bixpower.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BX-DD60PD&CartID=1 Anyone have success with cheaper alternatives? Thank you
  14. Sounds like an inexperienced post person... It will be hard explaining that post production needs another take, when the director decides to only do one.
  15. https://www.lectrosonics.com/US/Recorder-Accessories/product/rps4.html Cool product lectro gang. Id like to know more about the fans. What kind of noise would these emit? Any shut off or speed settings? Thanks!
  16. Jacob, that was easily the most entertaining soldering video on the internet. Thank you
