  1. Howdy Folks, I looked high and low for the battery sled for the Maxx. The part number is COMF BH-365. Has anyone purchased these yet. The new Zaxcom site lists them as accessories but i didn't see a price or any link to check for availability. I checked a while back and Digi Key and Mouser had some similiar stuff but nothing with the 9v connectors. Let me know if anyone has had any luck. Also i am a bit confused as to what exactly was covered in the 2.0 software upgrade. Did AES inputs come bundled in? I thought i read there is only 1 option now when purchasing (tx option) and that the other features are included. Is that true?
  2. After i posted i started to see mention of v 2 thanks guys. Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk HD
  3. Is there a way to record the camera returns as iso`s 5 and 6 on the maxx. I rarely have a need to record my mix but could use a couple more iso`s. I feel this is more a system limitation impossed by Zaxcom, not an actual limitation of the maxx. Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk HD
  4. Using a monster card, and as far as i know my firmware is up to date. Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk HD
  5. Getting used to maxx and for the most part really liking it. Had a strange experience where i got a high pitch hum in one of my recordings. But to be honest i cant say what the cause of it was. I'm thinking my attenuation settings might be the cause or possibly this cheap battery i was using or even the microphones i was using. All i know i tried to replicate it and i couldn't. 6. Wile i was only using 2 channels i had 4 chanels going to the caed so that explains the run time. Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk HD
  7. Sorry i didnt specify i only have 2 channels activated. Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk HD
  8. I see. I need to get a bigger card but for now i only have a 4gb. However given its split in half shouldn't`t i get more than 54 minutes of record time? In my experience 24/28 takes about 1 gig per hour. Is there a lot of space taken up by proprietary system files are some thing. This just doesn't seem right. 9. Jack, i actually had mirror off on the deck. I'm glad to understand that because i didn't get that from the manual( might have missed that). So with mirror off shouldn't i then have the entire memory available? Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk HD
  10. Thanks for the quick responses guys. Having problems using the sd- compact flash adapter i bought. Is there one you can recommend Glenn. The one i bought seems to be too wide to fit in the slot. Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk HD
  11. Hey people just got my maxx and i`m super perplexed. Got 2 questions. 1- what am i doing wrong when i ouput files using zax convert and i hear nothing but static? 2-why if i have a 4 gb card does it show i only have 2gb free when i haven`t recorded anything?. 12. Howdy, folks i want to let you know i tried the mixer again, except this time running it at 12v. And there was a big difference. It sounded much better and the 1 channel that was off from the others is fine now. So maybe this particular mixer doesn't` perform well at 6v? 13. Wow, you guys rock. You gave me a wealth of info. The microphone was a soundfield sps 200. The recording was a ambient recording of a jazz rock band and there are several other recordings of the same performance each with a different pre/ microphone combo. Of the 3 recordings i have found, mine is the brightest. As far as something being wrong with my unit its hard to say. I know one channels preamp sensitivity is off. I was able to even it out by repeated cycling the power. Either way i wouldn't`t think an intermittent pre gain setting would affect the overall timbre of the mixer as a whole. 14. I picked up a sd 442 a couple months back. I ran it using the aa`s and found the pre`s to be overly bright. 2 questions. 1- are the pres in the 442 known to be bright? 2- does the units pre`s sound different when the unit is powered at higher voltages ( using the hirose connector)? 15. I must say that i`m not impressed with zaxcom`s production schedule. PER ORIGINAL RELEASE NOTES the maxx WAS GOING TO BE RELeased winter 2013, and or march 13. If there was another pro 4 channel recorder available with 4 pre`s i`d already have bought it simply based on my frustration oh having to wait for 9 mo`s for the maxx. But the sd 744 doesn`t have 4 pre`s and i don`t know of any other comparable recorders in the 2-3k price range. Hope the maxx is worth the wait?
