  3. I also use a $40 Fiberglass Painters pole. You can get a 'Paint Stick Adapter" at Filmtools which converts the end to a baby pin. http://www.filmtools.com/paint-stick-adapter.html -Chris

  6. Hi Whitney, I was aware of Bill's info and think it's great that he is doing that for folks. I, however, have a million other things I could spend $100 on! I've got the application complete and have just a few questions about specifics and a sample app would help me out. Couldn't hurt, eh? Thanks! -C
  7. Any chance someone could post a copy their application as an example to follow? I think it might help encourage more folks to apply! Cheers, -C
  8. It's great to finally see this! I'll be buying a couple for sure!
  9. It doesn't appear to have functionality for blocks 470, 19 or 944.
  10. The sound department always has a high potential for L&D as we handout so much more gear to non-department members than other departments > Comteks / IFBs, Slates, Lockits, Wireless, Earwigs, etc. I actually prefer owning my own lock-its (2 Denecke SB-Ts), knowing that they are stable and in good condition. I always negotiate them outside of my main kit rental. That being said, my slates and lock-it boxes have easily paid for themselves a number times... which means more money to put back into the never ending saga (to my wife's chagrin!) of expanding and improving my kit. Cheers, -Chris
  11. Hahah Jim! That gave me a good laugh! I stand corrected about my "vintage" house. =-) Larry, thanks for the offer! I don't think it is something to swap out... both of my venue transformers are doing it. Let me know what you find out back at the mothership, Thanks! -Chris
  12. I found my problem. I live in an older house that was built in the 50's. It seems that an outlet that had a three prong outlet wasn't actually grounded. I went to another outlet in a new part of the house and the power leakage issue went away. While the problem is fixed, it definitely seemed to be the venue transformer that was leaking voltage while it wasn't grounded. -Chris
  13. Hey guys, I have been experiencing some small electrical current leakage into my cart. I've tracked it down to my Venue power supplies. With them disconnected the electric buzz I'm feeling through out all metal surfaces on my cart goes away. If I hold the shields of either supply (the portion that screws into the back of the power connector on the venue), I get the same electric buzz... even while they are disconnected from the venue. One note - I'm still setup on AC power (while I wait for the new Remote Audio Meon to be released) with a Furman AR-1215 in play. Is it the power supplies or is something else going on? Thanks, -Chris
  14. After thought and advice from you folks... I went with Ron's choice: the AR-1215. It seemed to be a good choice economically and functionally. Now, let's hope I never actually *need* it! Cheers, -Chris
  15. Thanks guys for the thoughts and advice. I'm going to sleep on it. I'll let you know my final thoughts. Cheers all! -Chris
  16. Hey guys, In my current setup, I've had a 788t and a CL-9 Control Surface. I recently got a second 788t (with a CL-8 that I already had) mainly as a backup if the other 788t failed (gasp!) and for use on those rare days that more wires go out to be able to use as an expansion recorder. So I figured I'd put it to use as a backup recorder in the meantime. =) -Chris
  17. Hey guys, I'm adding a second 788t as a backup recorder to my cart and I want to split up the signal from my Lectro Venue to both recorders, as well at the boom feeds (with P48). What have you been using? I've been looking at these two rack mounted units from ATS: ART S8 Balanced 8 Channel Microphone Splitter Art S8 ART S8-3WAY - EIGHT CHANNEL THREE-WAY MIC SPLITTER ART S8 3 Way Anyone have experience with these models.... or other recommendations? Thanks! -Chris
  18. Prosound tells me they have to order from Germany and it takes 7-10 days to ship. They will do custom lengths and connectors. Chris
  19. I saw this today- anyone using it? Looks like a space saver! Link to Pro-Sound Kortwich Cable Harness
  20. Hey guys, I'm wondering which Furman you guys have been using for your carts. I pondering between the PL Plus DMC or going full out on the P-1800 AR which offers full conditioning. Running two 788ts and two venues on the cart. Meon coming soon too. Thoughts? Thanks! -Chris
