  1. Hunting Blind Chairs Black Sierra Nitro Pro XL https://a.co/d/9gkXS2L That particular one has some QC issues, needed loctite on the bolts, but I bought it because the base and seat are attached and it folds relatively flat. Some of them are in two pieces.
  2. I'm looking for a 6" or so XLR male to female gooseneck. The ones on the market are large, no doubt for a handheld dynamic, etc. I just want a thin one I can plug a cmc1 into for plant work. Has anyone found something small and lightweight in their adventures?
  3. Thanks for looking out Jeff. For anyone going, I will be at NAB for the first time! If you want to have a beer, please reach out! Obviously in a more limited capacity.
  4. I can't seem to find any posts about removing the SD 688's card slot door. Any tips?
  5. I'm working a show that films standup comics who have live reinforcement in a medium sized venue. They would like the most natural crowd laughs they can get, but previously the problem is bleed from the monitors getting into the crowd mics and then needing to add in post. They cannot turn down the reinforcement because of the live nature of the show. So my instinct is to add less sensitive mics close to the audience. My question is what dynamic mics come to mind that would be wide and sensitive enough to grab a bunch of folks laughing at comedy show, but be able to negate the reinforcement?

  7. Hey I’m tearing around New Orleans till Wednesday if any mixers want to grab a drink.
  8. Hi, I just got a Creality Ender 3 printer up and running and was wondering if anyone here had any nifty print profiles.
  9. Foam. And it's a tad too long. I would have trimmed the back of the foam but it wasn't my gear. I did not use a softie I don't know if this mount can handle the weight. I believe rycoye makes a similar sized mount that is one piece and very rigid for outdoor use.
  10. I was using the INV-LITE the other day with the short CMIT, found the old INV-6 had quieter handling in a lighter simpler, and cheaper design.
  11. Right now I'm on a show for Sony and payroll says it's fine.
  12. I guess if you're emailing these to payroll anyway that would serve as a backup since it'll be on your email server.
  13. Also, could it be possible to add a word to the rerate box? Such as boom op or mixer, so as not to presume the rate? Or should I just enter into the occ code?
  14. This looks great, I've already sent a sample to payroll to see if they'll take it. Question: Is there a backup feature? Also, a lot of payroll depts like if your hours go past midnight, that you count up from 24, so 3:30 am is 27.5. makes the math easier i guess Thanks for making this!
  15. Great this is def cheaper than the Trim Loc stuff through Grainger.
  16. Thanks Jeff, I went to the autozone down the street and found "door edge molding" that worked great. In my research I found this stuff called Trim Lok which looks identical to the stuff on the Film Tools shelves I have, both have an aluminum core that can pinch onto whatever your putting it on. Grainger and Amazon sell it.
  17. Hey, I'm building a cart based on a filmtools/backstage junior. i want to add rubber trim to the edges of the shelves, much like what you find on the PSC carts and upright film tools shelves. whats a good material to use, what's is that type of thing called?
  18. I broke one on the last show. Just putting a mic in, nothing unusual.
  19. Don't forget the subtle differences between all mics in the same line, which is why when buying stereo pairs it's desirable to get consecutive serial numbers. ive heard mics of the same model that are years apart in manufacture that sound noticeably different.
  20. Shoving the mic flag over it cracks me up
  21. I've used them with an Option7 TX. There's a slight difference in quality, but nothing profound. I usually hand out my comtek first then the listen techs are for extra clients/girlfriends at village.
  22. I use the comtek pouches as cases for a couple LR-400 I have. http://jwsoundgroup.net/index.php?/topic/24902-add-a-belt-clip-to-your-previously-useless-comtek-pouch/#comment-293005
