What about furry windjammers ? Currently using the 4017C and 4018C along my 4060, 4061 and 4071 lavs. My next purchase will be a 4017B. Sometimes I do miss having the same high boost feature from the lavs in my booms as well.

I use a minijack TS plug on both ends, and also convert files to mono before importing to Traktor, or else I would get phase canceling from the balanced input in the Tx. It has a line in option, but it's not real line level. Works better if set to mic level. I'm using the UWP-v2. Haven't tried the (not so) new UWP-D yet.

If TC is not required I only do Playback with an iPad with Traktor DJ. Traktor is VERY easy to use and I can add position markers with no sweat. iPad out to Sony UWP Tx (amazing range), RXs to cameras, speakers and wherever else is asked. Works flawless.

I've had this problem with more than one 788 and with different firmware versions. It happens a lot. But the conflict is in the PROJECT folder, not scene or daily. 12 hr am/pm settings can add some confusion as well. Just have the clock set to 24hr format and always reboot right after finish setting the machine at the start of a new project and you should be fine.

Yes, definitely. I use a waist belt with much heavier gear (788, lectros) and it works just fine. Try the one from Orca.

Sound Devices 744t mk2 A 4ch version of the 788t. Cl4 with the same features of cl8 + meters for L,R,x1,x2 Dual channel Lectrosonics rx with tracking filters and proper true diversity (like zaxcom or wisycom). (yes, I would love to see 2 411s in the size of one)

A real thing, but not a reason for panic or anything. Just take the same precautions you normally would (ex: don't let your gear out of sight, make sure to avoid walking alone at night on empty and dark streets, and so on) and you will be fine. Welcome to Rio, enjoy the beach (although this isn't the best season for that), the views, the food and the people!
