  1. You're right. I incorrectly referenced the epic body. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. You're correct. With the latest iterations of the last few models it has only been the sensor that gets upgraded. The body stays the same and the modules are the ones that give us the different i/o. The 3.5mm is menu switchable for balanced/unbalanced connections. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Would love to see Canadian versions for the same payroll companies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I've started using https://scriptation.com. Automatically highlights actors & lines in scripts, and will import all annotations when a script revision comes in. It isn't perfect, but you will just have to highlight a few lines yourself for the ones it missed due to script formatting.
  5. I don't think there will be much of an issue as they are more than likely going to be including a lighting to 3.5mm adapter.
  6. That sucks.. I haven't dropped by in the last couple of weeks, and I would have been happy to wish him well in person. I think there are many of us that have known him since the time when Trew Audio was at the Cherry Beach location which had to be at least 10 years ago. It's unfortunate that Richmond had recently left as well. Both are very stand up guys.
  7. You should try and get in touch with Jose Frias and/or Laura Cunningham. I'm assuming you're not in Freelance FB group, but they've both posted quite a bit of info on VR recording over the last year or so. I believe they're both members here, but I could be wrong. It really boils down to what Post needs and what they're able to do and not do and what blindspots are available to use.
  8. I love my battery clip. I don't find it slow at all.
  9. Well you bid on a used item that had no original pictures and the description of the item was a copy and paste from the Lectro website. I'm actually surprised you received a working product. The listing itself is a red flag and would explain why you were the only one that bid on it!
  10. I had the same issue a couple of days ago before you announced it was fixed. I tried to debug it, and the error was a missing cached javascript file. Since this is happening across multiple platforms, Mac, iOS, Android, etc. for the same user it has to be tied to user accounts. Perhaps logging out first and clearing the cache is everyone's best bet.
  11. I think this is mostly fixed from what I understand from Jeff's post a couple of days ago. It was an issue with javascript running on the site. I think you can fix it by emptying your browser cache, resetting java to default settings, and also rebooting.
  12. I've had mine done by Pete. Works fantastic.
  13. It looks like the metadata workflow for us is going to be divided into two directions, ACN and TCB. Zaxcom may be a wildcard in this as well considering the direction they've been heading. As of now, both really haven't come into fruition yet as there are so many details that have been left out. There's only so much you can see on a 2 minute NAB preview. We haven't seen what the TCB :wave or the new MovieSlate 8 app will be capable of. I'd imagine the new version of MovieSlate will be a game changer this time around with Arri Alexa and Sound Devices connectivity. I think we'll have a better idea of the metadata workflow situation by the end of the year as people start to make the transition.
  14. I think it will take some time to transition to this slate, and I don't think this would be a great 'first' slate to pick up. The most asked change from what I've read was a taller top line just in case people wanted to put the roll, shot and take manually with a faceplate without overhanging the TC window. It's unfortunate that this never happened. I'm interested in picking one up, but I'd definitely have to see how the TCB app and the MovieSlate app UI interacts with the TS-TCB, and how the Script Supervisor will deal with what goes on the slate. I honestly don't want to keep track of camera rolls to put on the slate either.
  15. I think a lot of it is compensation for eBay fees, but I found deals on eBay a few times. I actually won a UCR411a for $600 a few years back. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
