Maybe , after a decade , we can expect X4 under new parent brand ? ... or , this is just a wishful thinking of mine ... time will tell . Best wishes to all at Aaton .

    You are welcome . In my mind , microphones are THE most important tools in our kits . Mic pre-amps are on second place and they are crucial when I am choosing right mixer/recorder or radio mic system for the project . Regards.

    Response from Aaton support via email , as a manufacturer, they don't usually express themself on public forums . Pascal Grillère : "To try to clarify, as it is in the announcement, the 32 bits float audio file format is now available in the audio settings. It only concern the recording file format, it doesn't change the way you are working on the Cantar. The use Aaton Cantar limiter to prevent audio signal overload get the best signal dynamic is still true. This is the state of the art for version 3.532.C12." Cheers .

    Exactly one decade of introducing to the market . https://www.local695.com/magazine/cantar-x3/ Eventually , 32bit is a matter of data storage devices speed and capacity , so it is a matter of time when we wont even notes it . Do we need 32bit ..? IT DOES DEPEND . Happy holidays.
