devin golub
hi all, i had this weird issue with my 788t yesterday and today. during recording an error message comes up saying "take deleted" from both the CF and the hard drive. thankfully, the dvd ram burner is still working and recording properly. Another message comes up saying something like "hardware drive warning" i assume I'm sending this back to SD..anyone have anything like this? thanks! You might want to join and follow the Sound Devices Support Forum, The answer to your question might already have been discussed there and although Jon and Matt and other SD staff folks visit here often, the company's support site is pretty good and watched over by them on a pretty regular basis. BudRaymond
It says in the manual when recording at higher sample rates or with many tracks, recommend recording to only 2 media. Internal HD and CF are the best, as the dvd-ram burner usually takes longer.
Wandering Ear
"hardware drive warning" Sounds like an issue with the internal hard drive. Are you SSD or Hard Drive? Might be a good idea to run some drive diagnostics. I'm sure SD can give you more accurate answers tomorrow.
