RPSharman
So I was prompted to start this thread because of afewmoreyears' profile picture (thankfully I caught my iPad's attempt to correct a typo of 'profile' with 'orifice'). It's a great photo of, excuse my ignorance, a Nagra or other reel-to-reel. It looks a lot like the model of miniature "spy" Nagra I failed to win in a recent auction. I thought perhaps people could post the significance of their profile picture, unless it's just a boring photo like mine. Robert

RPSharman
I was right! It is such a beautiful machine. The one I didn't win went for about $850. A little over my max $800 Auctionsniper bid.

carbonhobbit
From the movie I boomed. Found this action figure in the mud behind the house we were filming at. His arms looked like a boomer's pose, so put a twig in his hands to be his pole and mounted onto the mixer cart. He looks better than me booming. Scott..... Sean McCormick
I had the surprise pleasure of recording a video snippet with Mr. Billy Effin' Gibbons for an awards show he was unable to attend last year. As I am a Texas drummer, he's royalty for me. Really affable guy, who regaled me with a couple great stories after the shoot. His business card reads "Billy Gibbons, friend of Eric Clapton". Olle Sjostrom
My wife took this picture of me during our vacation in Sweden. We're seating in a restaurant next to Gröna Lund in Stockholm. Great times! Grönan! My pic is just some pic I took while bag mixing a childrens series. Took it with my iPhone through the antennas of the g2s. :/
soundmanjohn
Strapped tightly into a Tiger Moth, with a Zoom H2 in stealth mode. No room for anything else and we spent a good deal of the flight upside down. On a waiting list for a back-seat ride in a WW2 Warbird: only another six years to go... Bob Marts
I've been a Tiki, Polynesia, Exotica fan for a long while. My profile pic is of my Cooper 208 headphone volume knobs -- A blue tiki knob for me and a brown tiki for my boom op (just for fun).
MatthewFreedAudio
Mine shows the extent of my drawing abilities. And you may notice the headphones are plugged directly in to the boom pole; a mixing panel was too difficult to draw. www.matthewfreed.com Production Sound Mixing for TV, Films, and Commercials
Winter
Mine is a frame from the picture "Lisbon Story", also the nickname comes from there; Phillip Winter was the guest character of the movie, a sound recordist who droves his car from Germany to Portugal with a broken leg

VASI
My profile picture is from the break out of short film. Touching the steadycam system. Camera operator say to me: "Brother you spoil the balance". And the answer is: "You change my frame rate and bit rate". I have good business relationship from this camera operator. Jim Gilchrist
Mine used to be the headstock of a mandolin made by Australian luthier Steve Gilchrist, no relation unfortunately. His instruments are beautiful to look at and renowned in the string band world for their tone and how easily they play. I changed it to satisfy a critic.
