Jorge Del Valle
Does anyone know how to power a MacBook Pro off of battery power, ie Meon or other DC battery backup system? I would like to wire the power cable to a 4pin XLR connector so I can run it to a hot strip or a Meon. Thanks.
ccsnd
http://www.amazon.com/MacBook-Pro-17-Compatible-Adapter/dp/B004ZGBPZE Cut the car adaptor off, wire to 4pin
soundslikejustin
Lookup MacGuyver (or something like that). They mod the MacBook charger (or you can buy ready-made units) to run off 12vDC - there's even a version with a 4 -pin XLR. Edit: or that ^^. Probably cheaper. Michael P Clark
Remember, your MacBook has a battery on it, iin case you're worried about losing cart power from a kickout or something, you still have power to it.
graham
Hypershop.com has external batteries as well as cigarette adaptors for MacBooks. I've used both and have had no issues
