Rob Lewis
I seem to be getting quite a bit of low frequency handling noise with all of my mics. Schoeps CMC641, MKH50, 416, MKH60, in rycote softie mounts, Ktek KGPS, KSSM mount. Poles are cabled Ktek, and my mixer is a 442. As an ENG guy I'm always moving and handling the pole a lot and I just cant seem to reduce the handling noise. Any suggestions?

Cotton gloves might help. How much of what you hear actually comes through when the track is played over speakers? Most of the time the LF handling noise that is heard on headphones doesn't reproduce on speakers. Eric
