curleysound
Okay, I'm not intending this to be an oogle thread, but it just happens to be a picture that's easy on the eyes. First, there is a wireless pack there, even if you can't see it It looks like either a zaxcom or a sennheiser to me, but not owning either, I can't tell. Your thoughts? Also, the pack holder is pretty snazzy! Do you think it's a custom job? Tom
Guest RollSound
looks like a micron transmitter with a dpa lav... the pack looks like the standard micron leather pouch, but sprinkled with sparkly stuff.
jason porter
I second that! looks like Micron to me, but I'll keep looking at it to make sure -JP
greg sextro
forgive me if i'm wrong, but isn't that a pic of britney spears? http://tinyurl.com/yqo4vo
curleysound
Indeed you are right! It was Brit on the MTV VMA's last night. I've noticed lately that a lot of shows are forgiving in their allowance of seeing the mic pack, and in situations like this, they're virtually unavoidable, so I figured I'd try to ID it from a screen capture, and couldn't. I didn't even notice the sparkly pouch until I saw it still.
Bash
Had it been a Zax it could have been half as tall. Had it been an Audio Ltd Mini 2040 it would have been slimmer and also less tall. Had it been the right model of Sennheiser it could have been half as tall. Had it been the right Lectro it could have been half as tall. Most, if not all, of the above could have been quite neatly dealt with up in the brasierre regions, with little or no cable in shot. Its a bit of a mess isnt it. I am referring to the radio mic and not the mic stand!! Kindest regards to all, Simon B
Sergio Sanmiguel
I say is either just a prop or a Zaxcom with the recording/playback option... :-)
John Steigerwald
Most likely it was a Shure PSM700 or similar for her ear monitors since she lip syncs her shows. The antenna looks right for the 700, but the LEMO connector is odd, maybe a custom mod. EDIT: No volume knob, so not a Shure.. Maybe she was using wedge playback, if so, my vote is for a Sennheiser unit. Antenna is right, LEMO plug is right... SK50 maybe? I didn't make it into the venue during the show, but we were using Sennheiser stuff pretty much everywhere else that night.
