Marc Wielage
I caught Eric Toline's very funny line elsewhere, and wanted to add it to my list of "sound department T-shirts." One of these days, I'll interest somebody in making these! Some of these shirts are ones I've actually seen, but couldn't locate a source to buy them from. No MOS! (already a cap from Pro Sound NYC) No Subs! (already a shirt from Lectrosonics) When you talk my ears bleed a little! Sound is speeding! If my headphones are on I can't hear you! Don't talk to me if the red light is on! SOUND DEPARTMENT If you hear it we can record it. We'll fix it in post. Oh, shit -- we are in post! (inspired by a real Compact Video shirt from the 1980s) I can hear you loud and clear. I push the RECORD button and hope for the best. (the latest from Mr. Toline) All digital all the time! Any other candidates? I was hoping for some a little less hostile than this one on Cafe Press:

Wyatt Tuzo
"Frame Me Out" This was on the back of a shirt that my friend Brian designed many years ago. He also had one that had a sack of money on the font, and "carpe per-diem" written on the back.

Not to tangent too much, but I made a button once that read: CARPE HONKUM (Seize the Honkey)

soundmanjohn
When I'm recording effects in public area, I always feel I should wear one of the FDNY-type shirts with SOUND - KEEP BACK 200 FEET on the back just to keep the "what are you doing?" crowd away. rich
Oh yeah. I want "don't stand behind the boom operator" The number of people who I've had to ask if they like their toes being trodden on or my elbow in their face.
Bob Marts
I worked on a movie once which had many small crowded practical sets. I was always moving my cart to stay out of the shot and other work. After a few days, I found a sign on the back of my cart chair which read: "Place Camera Here". Marc Wielage
Come tell me about it on the 8th Mirror... I'll buy you a brewski! I will back Steve up by saying he's a swell guy, a snappy dresser, and a terrific raconteur -- absolutely not racist or prejudiced in any way. Thought of another T-shirt (which I think is used by Pro Sound in NYC): Lav 'em and Leave 'em!
