Tyler Faison
I have a few SMQV transmitters that have turned black on the casing. I think this generally comes from sweat and the like. I hesitate to say oxidation because I don't know the science. What is the best recommended solution for cleaning this up? Just a standard solution from the grocery store? They are always so pretty when they come back from the mothership.
RPSharman
Not sure about the cleaning, but I always try to keep the units away from sweat. It seeps through and destroys the unit. Never put them against bare skin. I have a bunch of the original neoprene sleeves the SMs used to come with. I use them with the new clips attached to the SM. Avoids direct contact. johnpaul215
Now you have me wondering if I like the patina. I didn't know there was an easy option for cleaning them up.
