Omar Milano
Hello again, As I mentioned on my previous post, I am looking to buy a basic ENG package. Would any of you recommend this for the price? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart&A=details&Q=&sku=319726&is=REG Although I do not have much to spend, I am trying to stay away from the ubiquitous Sennheiser G2s. Thank you.
ProSound
Omar, Why are you trying to stay away from the G2's I have had two of them for 3 years and they work great for the price just buy a better lav like a Countryman EMW and they will work great for you
cmassey
DITTO! I have the G3 systems and for what they are and what they do, they are very good. You will trade up when the time comes! cleve
Omar Milano
Thanks for your input, guys. I've used the G2s on many occasions and I've had quite a few drop-offs. The last one being with a prominent doctor on a shoot for Discovery Health. We all know that wireless systems are not drop-off proof, even the costly units can give you a headache at times. That's why I was asking about the low end Lectros. I'll investigate the G3s and see how they do. Thanks!
cmassey
MY BAD....not G3 but G2!!! cleve
ptalsky
Omar, I'm not sure you'll see a significant improvement between the G2's and the Lectro 100's - neither have diversity on the receivers. You'll need to jump up to the 2xx series (used) or the 4xx series (new or used) to get diversity on the Rx's which will help performance. JDirckze
You could get second hand 211's for only $500 more... worth it in my opinion
