Neil Mc
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a very, very small usb keyboard for use in a bag? I was looking at these which are about 9 inches wide: http://www.cyberguys.com/product-details/?productid=7599 But I still feel like there must be some other smaller options out there.... pindrop
Very small - I use dreamGEAR MINI-Key for PlayStation 2 (about 3.25" or 8.2cm across) with my 788 CL8 USB input and once you get used to where to find things it's great - much faster than the rotary wheel on the side, and has turned out to be quite rugged considering. May be difficult to source though, I think it may have been discontinued or there were supply problems?

Matt Bacon AMPS
I've tried several keyboards over the period in which I've owned my 788T. Many do not like the 788T which I'm guessing is down to USB powering. Anymore suggestions from here in the UK??
Jeff Wexler
wonder if this will work with nomad... I seriously doubt that most of the keyboards will work with any of the Zaxcom recorders. There have been problems with support for keyboards for the longest time, requiring Deva / Fusion users to find the one or two keyboards that actually work. This is the on I bought with a PS2 adapter to use with the Sound Devices CL-1 adapter. This was literally the only decent quality PS2 mini keyboard I could find that wasnt ridiculously over priced like the one shown below which I also found. http://www.l3sys.com...pc/wristpc.html
Diego Sanchez
Hey Matt i bought this http://www.bestofferbuy.com/68key-portable-mini-multimedia-keyboard-with-retractable-usb-cable-black-p-28799.html and works well with the 788t. Is cheap and ships to the UK.
johnpaul215
Wasn't there a company with "cherry" in the name that made a few little USB keyboards? I don't think it was Cherry keyboards, but something similar sounding, they also made at least one model that was wearable (like the one Tom posted). Neil Mc
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Diego I like the looks of that one, 2 inches smaller width wise than the one I was looking at which is a bonus. Those wrist wearable ones seem like they could be good but definitely are expensive for keyboard prices! That and I would feel like a data entry cyborg. MatthewFreedAudio
I tried the WristPC with both a CL2 hooked to a 744 and directly to a 788. It doesn't work with either.

D Didn't Zaxcom recently announce upcoming support for keyboards on Nomad? If so I hope they can advise which ones DO work.

benr
Take a look at this thread from awhile ago: I posted a pic of the keyboard linked to in the OP with my 702. Its not a bad little cheap keyboard.

Philip Perkins
a tiny one normally for an HTC phone, but i used it on an SD744 I had one like this and I couldn't get it to work w/ CL1 and 744. This was a few yrs ago--maybe it just looked like this but was a diff model. The only keybd I got to work reliably w/ 744 CL1 was the "squishy key" flexible one that Trew sold for awhile. Worked ok but was kind of unpleasant to type on philp
Jack Norflus
wonder if this will work with nomad... The goal is it to make any USB keyboard work. But at this point it is hard to say because Zaxcom is currently in the process of re-vamping the USB software to improve it's performance - hence the reason for the delay. I've used the "SIIG USB Mini Multimedia Keyboard", which definitely works with the 788: http://www.amazon.co...d/dp/B002QFOKOO $20 from Amazon. It's not the tiniest keyboard around (about 12" across), but if it was any smaller, my ape-like fingers would have too much trouble typing in scene names and notes. Matthias Richter
this one works with my SD 744T but not on my Fusion: PSK-3100PS2 (not U like USB) http://www.pstc.com....e/WiredSlim.htm this KB-207U-B-DE works on my Fusion but is not as small and got a German layout (Fusion wants English): http://gmb.nl/item.aspx?id=6555 the Keysonic ack3400 u didn´t work with my Fusion
Jim Gilchrist
I spat my drink out when I noticed the price! I doubt many were sold at the original price. I found a WristPC PS/2 version for less than $60 and USB version for $45 on eBay over a year ago. The PS/2 version works great with a 744T and CL1 and a colleague is using the USB model with a Pix 240. Best regards, Jim
